Now by Richard Rohr, a "christian" mystic. How is it that Christians can have anything to do with eastern religion? That is why I am sending them the Omega Rebellion. Now more than ever before Christians need to have their eyes wide open. Satan's deceptions are more deceptive when they are cloaked in Bible verses taken out of context. Excellent book sounding the warning of the massive deception that Satan is unrolling. But the good news is, God thwarts all his evil schemes. Thank God for the Holy Scriptures and SOP. Thank you Jesus for the ultimate sacrifice and to give us eternal life. Our hope and trust is in Your soon return. I didn't know anything about spiritual formation, contemplative prayer, or the emergent church before I read this book. Now I have read and watched many things on the subject from authors of various Christian backgrounds. Those Christians who were once involved in the New Age movement and or the Occult are now the loudest whistle blowers because the are uniquely qualified to recognize it for what it is. Rick Howard is among this group of former New Agers. He powerfully demonstrates that contemplative prayer is the same as the transcendental meditation he formerly practiced. But this book to me was more compelling and convincing than everything else I've watched and read on the subject because I truly am convinced that this movement in christianity is what Ellen White saw and experienced in what she calls the Alpha and Omega rebellion. If you are even thinking about getting this book, just do it.here is one Ellen White quote the author used when the adventist church was facing the same heresies a hundred years ago when they were going through the Kellogg debacle." We need not the mysticism that is in this book (Kellogs book). Those who entertain these sophistries will soon find themselves in a position where the enemy can talk to them, and lead them away from God."I know that I personally needed to share this information with my Christian nonadventist husband and family from a nonadventist perspective. In that case I'd direct you to look into Caryl Matriciana. It amazes me that 3 of the six reviews I read gave only one star. This was an excellent book that was not meant to entertain, rather educate. Any SDA that is aware of the Omega of Apostasy is able to understand exactly what it is as Rick Howard has connected the dots. Spiritual Formation is
deadly and dangerous, and any supporters are either already drawn in by it, or Rome is their employer. This mental leprosy has already infected far too many in leadership and laity. Five stars are too few for the rating of this book. Those who disagree, sleep on as 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. Reading this book opened my eyes to a lot of practices that are taking place, not just out in the world, but in our own Churches! We need to know what's going on so we're prepared to meet it in opposition, rather than falling prey to one of Satan's final deceptions. It was by providence that we received this book and we're ordering copies for friends and family.. Recommend to all who want to be ready when Jesus comes again.
