This is a special edition to update you on some of the things that have happened since the autumn e bulletin. 1 The Heal our Land Prayer and Fasting summit on 8 th October was a tremendous success in terms of attendance and strength of our prayers. Once again, congratulations to Bishop Lennox Hamilton and team for the initiative and thank you to Apostle Harold McFarlane BOTR for hosting the summit. There were a range of prayer points, worship opportunities, exhortations and scripture readings from a range of speakers. The ACA was pleased to support this event and look forward to other initiatives of this kind in 2017. The approach the ACA wants to take is to encourage churches and organisations to bring churches together to build up the Kingdom of God through their own initiatives and projects and where it is in keeping with the vision of the ACA we will be happy to support the initiative by promoting it, offering advice, suggesting speakers and on some occasions helping with choirs and musicians. The ACA has its own programme that will be shared with members so we are actively working for you and the Kingdom of God. The December edition will feature our programme for 2017. On Saturday 15 th October we conducted training for churches on governance, churches and the law. Initial feedback from attendees was very positive. In the light of the session church leaders commented they will be reviewing the way they do business, introducing missing policies, changing some of their practices and ensuring their church take church administration more seriously. The training also covered The Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016. Very detailed and comprehensive bound notes were given out to attendees. If you would like a copy of the detailed notes, please contact me on the number at the bottom of the page or send me an email. The cost of the notes is 7 inclusive of postage. Motto: A Vision for the Future With a desire to promote unity, build relationships, and see increased cooperation amongst churches, a few pastors from a number of organisations and in some cases none, have come together and formed a body called the Apostolic Churches Alliance (ACA). Based upon voluntary relationship and partnership, this Alliance has been designed to bring support and strength to leaders of similar vision and like-passion, who have a desire to see the five-fold ministry fully operating in the Church so that believers everywhere are equipped for God's service and the Body of Christ is built up. The Alliance has been formed with the primary purpose of addressing spiritual, legal or any other kind of issue which may be relevant to the churches at any given time or place. It is strongly committed to building covenant relationships between member churches, maintaining spiritual accountability, upholding character and integrity, raising righteous leadership, developing ministry excellence, promoting operational transparency, and establishing the Kingdom of God on earth. The ACA will be registering shortly with Her Majesty Revenue and Customs (HMRC) as a charitable organisation for tax purposes. Apostle Lloyd Denny of Restoration Revival Fellowship serves as its Chairman with Pastor Carlton Troutt the visionary. WHY BECOME A MEMBER OF THE ACA? When you join the Apostolic Churches Alliance you'll be joining a movement of Christians in the UK passionate about changing our communities with the good news of Jesus Christ. That is a prophetic voice to the nation and a voice that speaks truth to power; We are in the early days of our development but it is still our passion to resource and equip churches in the Alliance to be all God wants us to be and to advance the Kingdom of God in the UK;
With each Church that decides to stand with the ACA we become more effective in speaking and acting on your behalf - and more representative of the whole apostolic scene in the UK. So our voice, as Christians, gets stronger. And as we become the answer to Jesus' prayer for a united Church, we are better at changing our communities and reflecting the love of God. Page 4 BENEFITS OF JOINING THE ALLIANCE:- You will be part of an alliance of apostolic churches determined to be a force for good and change starting in the UK; You will have access to experienced and well established ministers from some of the best known churches and ministries in the UK; Through working together the ACA intends to help member churches secure funds and resources to enable acquisition of buildings and take advantage of business opportunities through networking and partnerships; Representation on a national scale, as we speak on your behalf to government and the media; An opportunity for your church to respond to God s call for unity; Use of the member of Apostolic Churches Alliance logo for your website and letterheads; Advertising your forthcoming services and other meetings in the monthly E bulletin; Regular updates on matters of interest, the law and information that might affect the church and that will help you build up your leaders and resource your church for mission and church growth; Training for leaders and church members on a variety of matters to better inform and equip member churches. 4 HOW TO BE A MEMBER To join the Apostolic Churches Alliance, simply complete the application form and return it as soon as possible; As a member church, we would look to you to support our work with a suggested annual donation of at least 1 per person of congregation (subject to a minimum of 50 a year).
