Nogales, AZ About KBI Founded in 2008 on the scriptural and humanitarian principles of human dignity for all and a responsibility to serve those in need, the bi-national Kino Border Initiative (KBI)* responds to the basic needs of deported migrants in Nogales, Sonora, and draws attention to the humanitarian crisis at the border. The KBI strives to put faith into action through our programs including; Humanitarian Aid, Education and Research & Advocacy Last year alone, the KBI s impact to migrants included; 46,820 meals served, shelter to 380 and first aid for 3,874.
