WHO we are THRIVE Nepal is a faith based, nonprofit 501 (c)(3). We are a network of Christian individuals, pastors, and business leaders in the United States who aspire to empower Christian ministries and business leaders in Nepal. We are motivated to carry out Jesus mission, which he declared in John 10:10b, I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. WHY we exist In developing world countries, a healthy system of free enterprise needed to enable communities to thrive is hindered by the absence of small-to-medium-size-enterprise (SME). Communities thrive when SME s flourish and their proprietors take responsibility for the greater good of their neighbors. We believe that we can empower SME s to help their communities THRIVE!
WHERE we work Nepal is strategically positioned between India and China, among more than one-third of the world s population. The church in Nepal is a mere 60 years old, yet it is rapidly growing and poised to impact its largely unreached neighbors. Growing numbers of Nepalis are migrating to the urban centers. This generation represents a rising middle class that is open to new ideas, and longs for significance and purpose.
HOW we work Empower Nepal For SME s to flourish...entrepreneurs must be empowered with three things: Skills needed for creating viable enterprises. THRIVE Nepal conducts Missional Business conferences and workshops in partnership with local churches across denominations that empower business leaders with Skills necessary for operating viable enterprises. Inspiration to see their communities thrive. This unique curriculum motivates business leaders in the church to engage the Great Commission. New Inspiration for mission is discovered when they learn that their work can be a primary means for worshipping God, and their business can be their platform for participating in The Great Commission.
Access to global networks, intellectual capital, and financial resources. Our network of Christian business people in the United States mentor those Nepali Christian SME entrepreneurs who obtain Inspiration and Skills by completing the Missional Business curriculum, and then desire ongoing interaction to help them develop a plan for implementing what they learned. This mentoring approach becomes a Nepali Christian entrepreneur s Access to global networks and intellectual capital necessary to THRIVE. A long-term goal of THRIVE Nepal is to establish an indigenously -operated lending fund through our Future Fund. This fund will provide Nepali Missional Business entrepreneurs Access to financial resources needed to THRIVE.
We see Nepal transformed for the glory of God by reaching its youth with the Gospel of Jesus through the medium of music. Passion Music is the premier Missional Business for THRIVE Nepal with multiple business units: 1) Agency Instrument Sales, 2) Music School, 3) Music Production, 4) Music Event Promotion, and 5) Concert Hall Rental. This enterprise is a sustainable and holistic mission strategy that empowers Nepal for abundant life by making disciples of Jesus through the marketplace.
