HIM FOR YOU TO KNOW Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you (James 4:8) The air that you breath, the warmth you receive, It all comes from His hand, He was the first to give it to you. The life that you live, the love that you give, The joy that s in your heart, it comes right from His heart. It s His gift to you. : Now give Him honor and praise, glorify Him all of your days, For he loves you so, more than you will ever know, More than the reaches of your heart, He is setting you apart, For His purpose to be made known, For when you follow in His will, yes, He will draw you closer still, Him for you to know, Him for you to know. The joy in your heart, that sets you apart, It all comes from His love, and He freely gives it to you. The gifts that you share, that show that you care, They come right from His soul; it s His concern for you. 3

You are the author and finisher of my faith, You are the author and finisher of my faith, You are worthy of my worship, You are worthy to be praised, You are worthy of all asking in Your name. THREE TIMES Mk. 14:27, Lk. 22:31, Jn. 13:36 Peter, my friend, you have been with me right here to the very end, And now you re going to throw it all away, With the very words that you will say, Denying who I am, that you know Me, Before the rooster crows, it will be three, Three times will you deny Me, Three times will you say you don't know Me, Three times will the love of man mean more to you than Me. And though Satan has asked for like wheat to sift you, I've already prayed that your faith not fail you, And when you ve returned to me, strengthen your brethren. Strengthen them in the grace and mercies of the Lord. Teaching them all the mercies you have learned. Strengthen them in the mercies of the Lord. You say you re my friend, And that you will stay with me to the very end, But how many times will you throw it all away, With the very words that you will say, Denying who I am, that you know Me, Before your acquaintances, friends and family. Oh, how many times will you deny Me, How many times will you say you don't know Me, How many times will the love of man mean more to you than Me And though Satan may ask for like wheat to sift you, I've already prayed that your faith not fail you, And when you ve returned to me, strengthen your brethren. Strengthen them in the grace and mercies of the Lord. Teaching them all the mercies you have learned. Strengthen them in the mercies of the Lord. (Repeat) 5
J-J-JESUS When I first heard people talk about Jesus, out loud, I was afraid, They talked about Him like they knew Him, I couldn't figure out just what they claimed. Then I looked into the mirror and I asked myself this one thing: Oh, if there's anyone that I should need to know, shouldn't it be Him? : J-J-Jesus, I love You! J-J-Jesus, I do! J-J-Jesus, I need You! Won't You please see me through. Then I took that first step and trusted Jesus, To come into my life and change my heart. I started learning all about Him, and in church I took part. Then I looked into the mirror and I asked myself this one thing: Oh, if there's anything that I should need to know, Shouldn't it be about Him? So, now I personally know and trust Jesus, in every single part of my life. I walk each day with Him in spirit, And talk with Him about my joys and strife. Now I look into the mirror as ask myself this one thing: Oh, if there's anyone I'm glad I've got to know, wouldn't it be Him? Well, now that you have heard my story, I turn to you and ask you this: Do you have the peace that passes understanding? Is your destiny a life that's filled with bliss? Won't you look into the mirror and ask yourself this one thing: Oh, if there's anybody you should need to know, shouldn't it be? (2x) 6
BLIND BARTIMAEUS (Mark:10:46-52, Luke:18:35-43) Blind Bartimaeus, was the son of Timaeus, Who was begging by the roadside in Jericho, When he heard that it was Jesus, he began to cry out loud, Oh, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! : When we cry out to Jesus, He hears our very calling, And He stops and asks What will you have from me? When we ask of Him by faith, He is quick to heal our spirit, Go your way. Your faith has made you whole. And many there began to warn him, To be quiet, but he cried out all the more, Oh, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! Then Jesus stopped and He called him, And they said: Quick, be of good cheer! Rise! For the Lord is calling you to come to Him! Then blind Bartimaeus, fell before the Son of David, And Jesus asked of him What will you have from Me? He replied O, my Master, that I may have my sight? Jesus made him whole, Because the Lord he could already see. Go your way. Your faith has made you whole. Go your way. Your faith has made you whole. 7
SEARCH ME, O GOD Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart, Try me, and know my thoughts. Search me, O God, and know my heart, Try me, and know my thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting, everlasting. Search me, O God, and know my heart, Try me, and know my thoughts. Search me, O God, and know my heart, Try me, and know my thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting, everlasting, oh, everlasting. 8
THIS LIFE My Lord and my God, I love You. But I m so unworthy of You. Nevertheless, You love me so. What would I do, My Lord, without You? Where would I go in this life? I don t know outside of Jesus. He holds my hand, He understands, my love for Him. What would I do with this life? I don t know without my Jesus. He holds the key, with His love for me, eternally. My Lord and my God, I need you. I just can t wait to see you. But I know You ll love me to the end. Now where would I go? Only You have words of eternal life. What would I have in this life? I don t know apart from Jesus. He owns my soul, He s in control over me. Who am I in this life? Wouldn t want to know without my Jesus. Now, all that I need, He s made complete in His love for me. All I need to see is Him loving me, eternally. 9
BE NEAR TO ME TONIGHT Many a day I've wondered how I would survive, Were it not for Jesus' name. Many a time I've stood at crossroads in my life, Only to find He bears my pain. O, God so true, I leave it all up to You. O, Savior so kind, be near to me tonight. O God I wonder how do those people exist, Not knowing who You really are? Tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, they miss, Not feeling how near You really are. O, God so true, I leave it all up to You O, Savior so kind, be close to me tonight. I look out my window and its cold outside, But inside my heart your fire burns. I know that You are here and in my heart you abide, And that for me Your heart does yearn. O, God so true, I leave it all up to You. O, Savior so kind, come dwell with me tonight. Sometimes I just don't see how the pieces all fit, Or see the greatness of Your plan. So Lord I content myself that in You my candle is lit, And that I am just Your little lamb. O, God so true, I leave it all up to You. O, Savior so kind, be near to me tonight. 10
PEACE OF MIND No matter what the world may give, it cannot give peace of mind. You'll find out the longer you live, the peace to live is hard to find. Oh, only with the Lord you'll find, the everlasting peace of mind, And I throw myself on the mercies of His love. Where else would I go to find what I need to know? How high would I need to climb to find out, What is right here in my heart? His love, His never ending, soul defending love. No matter what your life may show, it cannot glow without His love. If He's in your heart it will show, an' let others know, It's Him you love. Oh, only with the Lord you'll find, the everlasting peace of mind, And I throw myself on the mercies of His love. Where else would I go to find what I need to know? How high would I need to climb to find out, What He's written in my heart? His love, His never ending, soul defending love, His love, His never ending, soul defending love, His love, oh, yes His love, His never ending love, oh, His love. 11
HEALING MY HEART Mark 11:25-26, Mat 6:12-15, 18:21-22, Eph 4:32, 5:1-2 : Thank You Lord for healing my heart, Thank You Lord for hearing my prayer, my prayer. And showing me that I must forgive all these things in my heart. Thank You Lord for healing my heart, And for giving me a brand new start, So I can forgive and restore all the joy in my heart. O, I thought that I had done all that I could, To forgive all the things that I should. But somehow I just never did see, the ones that were closest to me. I asked you to forgive me my debts, As I had forgiven my debtors, o Lord, But they all seemed so far away and all oh so long ago. Then You took off the scales of my eyes, And showed me how that I had disguised my heart, By holding back the love that was due, To those who were so close and so true. There were things that were done and were said, And one thing to another that lead, To the slow rising leaven that grows, and sooner or later it shows. O, It seemed insignificant so, t was easy just to let it go, While slowly it was choking my heart, and tearing my feelings apart. Then I finally saw that my sin, was harboring resentments within, That I need to forgive right away, And not let them harbor one single day. 12
HOMEWARD BOUND 1 Corinthians 2:9 You know it's funny how this old world grows strangely dim, When I think of all the glorious things that await for me with Him. Where is the rhyme or reason to acquire what we can't keep? It will all be thrown into the fire when we will finally sleep. : Eyes have not seen nor have ears heard the things, He has prepared for me, A dwelling place, a royal crown, a seat at the banquet feast. And I am homebound. Yes, I m homeward bound. I'm getting closer every day. Home free, for eternity, home with Jesus every day. Homebound, yes I'm homeward bound. The feeling's stronger every day. Carefree for eternity, someday soon I will be there. Things may come and things may go and nothing stays the same, Except the Lord Who gave His Son to save us by His name. All you have is this one life, 't will soon be past. Only what's done for Jesus Christ, are the things that forever will last. And I am homebound. Yes, I m homeward bound, I'm watching signs along the way. Home free, it's so good to be on the road that takes me there. I am Homebound, yes, I'm homeward bound, There's no other place like home. East, west, home is always best. Someday soon I will be there. And I ll be going home, I ll be going home. 13
