Yes, we are entering the month of October and that means on Monday, October 22, we will gather for our 139 th Annual Meeting. This year we will be hosted by FBC Glen Rose beginning at 5:00 pm for session one, break for dinner at 6:00 pm, then reconvene at 7:00 pm for session two. Dr. Rick Lineberger, pastor of FBC Glen Rose, will be our preacher for the annual sermon and Kent Barnes, Minister of Music and Seniors will arrange for the music. Numerous others will also contribute by serving on the agenda. It will be a wonderful time of fellowship, worship, decision-making and both reviewing this year and visioning for the new year! God has truly blessed in so many wonderful ways in our churches this year and I am so excited about the potential and opportunities that lie ahead. When you read the reports from our churches and hear of ways we are growing you can t help but be uplifted and praise the Lord! It is with joyful gratitude that I write to say how very blessed I feel to be able to serve as your Director of Missions! We have great churches and pastors who love the Lord and seek to serve Him and reach their communities for the Kingdom of God. As we partner and cooperate together, who knows but the Lord what can be accomplished for His glory? Thank you for your involvement and participation as we prepare to begin a new associational year of working together. I look forward to seeing you at FBC Glen Rose on October 22! Please be in prayer for Bro. Guillermo Marquez, our Hispanic Church Catalyst. He has been in the hospital for several months, undergone numerous surgeries and still struggles with health issues that have required extended time in the Intensive Care Unit. To add to the difficulties health-wise, they have no insurance! So, please intercede on behalf of him, his wife Rosio and their children Michelle and Daniel. In the short time since our last annual meeting he had done some great work with our Hispanic work, training and preparing leaders for these churches. As the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Philippi, I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel (Phil. 1:3-5). May He fill you with grace and peace for your journey and I look forward to seeing you in Glen Rose, October 22! I m so glad to be your DOM, Glenn
