Our prayer is that you will experience the presence of the Living God as we worship together. We invite you to focus your heart and mind in worship. * indicates please stand as you are able. WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS Dave Colvin PRELUDE Intermezzo Organ From Pastoral Sonata in G, Op.88 Joseph Rheinberger CALL TO WORSHIP Dave Colvin There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the most high. God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved; God will help it when the morning dawns. The nations are in an uproar, the kingdoms totter; He utters His voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. *SONG OF WORSHIP: PRAISE TO THE LORD, THE ALMIGHTY (Hymn #77) (VERSE 1) Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul, praise him, for he is thy health and salvation! All ye who hear, now to his temple draw near; join me in glad adoration! (VERSE 2) Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth, shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth! Hast thou not seen how all thy desires e re have been granted in what he ordaineth? (VERSE 3) Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee,

surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, if with his love he befriend thee. (VERSE 4) Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore him! All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him! Let the Amen sound from his people again: gladly forever adore him. MY JESUS, I LOVE THEE (Hymn #101) (VERSE 1) My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou art mine, for thee all the follies of sin I resign; my gracious Redeemer, My Savior art thou; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, tis now. (VERSE 2) I love thee because thou hast first loved me, and purchased my pardon on Calvary s tree; I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, tis now. TIME OF PRAYER (VERSE 3) In mansions of glory and endless delight, I ll ever adore thee in heaven so bright; I ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow: If ever I loved thee, my Jesus, tis now. Bill Colvin Call to Confession Please remain seated AS THE DEER As the deer pants for the water So my soul longs after you You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship you Prayer of Confession Lord, you know who we are. You know everything we have done.

We thirst for things that will never satisfy us. We commit ourselves to things that will never last. We worship things that will never bring salvation. Still, you offer us the gift of living water. Still, you offer us the gift of eternal life. Forgive us, O Lord, and give us this living water, so that we may never thirst again. Amen. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen. Prayer of Thanksgiving/Dedication Almighty God, whether we have given from abundance or from little, we humbly offer these gifts to you, and for the glory of your name, through your son Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit. Amen. Reprinted by permission of Westminster John Knox Press from Feasting on the Word worship Companion. 2015 We invite you to come to the front or the back of the sanctuary to light a candle and place your offering in the plate The children are excused at this time to attend Junior Chapel Offertory In Heaven Above Organ Norwegian Folk Tune Reading of the Scriptures Ezekiel 47:1-12 (NIV) The River from the Temple Galen Miller The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side. 3 As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. 4 He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. 5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in a river that no one could cross. 6 He asked me, Son of man, do you see this?

Then he led me back to the bank of the river. 7 When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. 8 He said to me, This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. 9 Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. 10 Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea. 11 But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt. 12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing. *SONG OF WORSHIP: I AM THE BRINGER OF LIVING WATER (VERSE 1) I am the bringer of living water All who are thirsty, Come be fulfilled Blessed are they who thirst now for justice. God will reward them, they shall be filled (VERSE 2) Woman, I m thirsty give me some water Ask for the water, I freely give Water you draw here will leave you wanting Water I offer, drink it and live (VERSE 3) Bring me a basin, fill it to brimming I kneel before you, washing your feet When I was thirsty you gave me water Kingdom of Heaven, there we shall meet (VERSE 5) Jesus the bringer of living water

Source of the river, heart of the spring Humbly, your faithful drink of this water Gather in awe and gratefully sing Revelation 22:1-3,5 (NIV) Eden Restored Joyce Miller 1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. MESSAGE Rev. Don Meekhof He Showed Me the River of Life Sermon Text Revelation 22:1-2 1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city John 4:10 10 Jesus answered her, If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water. * WORSHIP: IN CHRIST ALONE In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song; This Cornerstone, this solid Ground, Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, When fears are stilled, when strivings cease.

My Comforter, my All in All, Here in the love of Christ I stand. In Christ alone! Who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless babe! This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones he came to save: Till on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied - For every sin on him was laid; Here in the death of Christ I live. There in the ground his body lay Light of the world by darkness slain: Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave he rose again! And as he stands in victory Sin's curse has lost its grip on me, For I am his and he is mine - Bought with the precious blood of Christ. No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me; From life's first cry to final breath. Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from his hand; Till he returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.
