Yeshua s Restoration of Israel

YESHUA S NEW EXODUS CONSIDER HOW YOU WOULD DEFINE THE FOLLOWING Gospel Kingdom of Heaven, Kingdom of God Messiah/Christ Salvation Redemption Forgiveness of sins

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL? Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the gospel that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you unless you have come to believe in vain. For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in Christ died for our sins turn had received: that in accordance with the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Paul s Distorted Gospel 1 Cor 15:1-5

YESHUA S NEW EXODUS ISRAEL S MESSIAH Was Jesus from a family of Christs? What does Messiah mean? Why is there not an explicit hope for a Messiah in the Torah? Why does this hope flourish in the firstcentury? Was Yeshua the only one ever declared messiah?

WHERE IS THE FIRST KINGDOM OF GOD IN SCRIPTURE?

A STORY WITHOUT COMPLETION IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCRIPTURE Created in God s image to rule the earth, fallen from the image of God, restoration program initiated with Abraham to replicate images of God, chaos of Egyptian slavery, redemption and creation of nation, Israel s decline into idolatry, exile into Babylon, return to the land without an end of exile.

RETURN FROM BABYLON WHAT WAS STILL MISSING? Still under the power of idolatry (Isa 5:7) Still under the authority of pagan nations (Ezra 9:8-9, Neh. 9:36) YHWH did not return to Zion (Isa 52, cf. Mal 3) Israel s sins were not yet forgiven (Jer. 31:34)

REPENT, THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS DRAWING NEAR! The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news. Mark 1:15

The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. WHO WAS JOHN THE BAPTIST?

WHO WAS JOHN THE BAPTIST? ISAIAH 40:1-3 Comfort, O comfort my people, that she has received from the Lord s hand says your God. double for all her sins. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, A voice cries out: and cry to her In the wilderness prepare the way of that she has served her term, that her penalty is paid, the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

WHO WAS JOHN THE BAPTIST? ISAIAH 40:4-5 Every valley shall be lifted up, Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and every mountain and hill be made low; and all people shall see it together, the uneven ground shall become level, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. and the rough places a plain.

WHO WAS JOHN THE BAPTIST? ISAIAH 40:9-10 say to the cities of Judah, Get you up to a high mountain, Here is your God! O Zion, herald of the Good News See, the Lord God comes with might, lift up your voice with strength, and his arm rules for him; O Jerusalem, herald of the Good News, lift it up, do not fear; his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

PREPARING THE WAY IS ABOUT THE RESTORATION OF GOD S KINGSHIP ON EARTH

PREPARING THE WAY IS ABOUT THE RESTORATION OF GOD S KINGSHIP ON EARTH BUT WHAT DOES THIS KINGDOM LOOK LIKE?

YESHUA S NEW EXODUS INTERPRETING PROPHECY IN THE APOSTOLIC SCRIPTURES Yeshua becomes the representative of Israel Israel becomes expanded to include all people who seek the Lord Kingdom comes through self-giving love (servitude), not through conquest

Listen! Your sentinels lift up their voices, together they sing for joy; for in plain sight they see the return of YHWH to Zion. Isaiah 52:8 The Return of YHWH to Zion

THE RETURN OF YHWH TO ZION AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH, AND DWELT/TABERNACLED AMONG US, AND WE SAW HIS GLORY, GLORY AS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN FROM THE FATHER, FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH. John 1:14

YESHUA S NEW EXODUS THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS Matthew 26:28 -> Blood of the covenant Mark 1:4 -> Baptism of repentance Luke 1:76-77 -> Prepare the Way, for the forgiveness of sins Acts 5:30-31 -> exalted to the right hand, to grant the forgiveness of sins Hebrews 9:22 -> Without the shedding of blood

THE RESTORATION OF ISRAEL How many disciples did Yeshua have? Were those the only people he could find, or did he specifically choose that number? Were they chosen based upon their tribal affiliation? When one was lost, was the number restored based on tribal affiliation?

THE RESTORATION OF ISRAEL While He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him. Someone said to Him, Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You. But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, Who is My mother and who are My brothers? And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother. Matthew 12:46-50

THE RESTORATION OF ISRAEL Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will give their glory to it Revelation 21:9-27

YESHUA S NEW EXODUS WE, THE KINGDOM How does Yeshua rule on this earth right now? Kingdom like a mustard seed Olam Hazeh, Olam Haba Sheep and Goats.

YESHUA S NEW EXODUS Suddenly they saw two men, Moses and Elijah, talking to [Yeshua]. They appeared in glory and were speaking of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem Luke 9:30-31
