Games We have Euchre and games in the Large Activity Room every Tuesday at 1:15pm. There is also a sign up sheet in the Large Activity Room for you to share what games you like to play. Wii Bowling has moved to the TV Room, and continues to meet every Tuesday at 1:15pm. Is there a movie you are itching to see? Let Ashley know and we can get it on the calendar! Salon Laurie Stoker takes appointments on Thursdays & Fridays: She can beautify women AND men! There is a sign up sheet on her door in the Atrium. The week of Thanksgiving, the Salon will be open Wednesday instead of Thursday. Library Books The local library has a book delivery program with deliveries to your door as often as once a week. If you are interested in signing up for this free book program, Ashley can help you fill out the paperwork. Happy reading! Corn Hole The Corn Hole Tournament continues every Friday at 1:00pm in the Atrium. Who will win the trophy this month?! Join us on November 29th at 3pm in the Dining Room for our monthly Birthday Trivia and Ice Cream! Catholic Services: Catholic Mass is now monthly, in the TV Room. It will be held on Thursday November 8th at 10:30am. The Catholic Bible Study for October will be Wednesday the 7th and 21st, at 3:30pm, in the Dining Room. Worship Services Our worship services are held every Sunday in the Dining Room at 4:00 pm. All residents are welcome to attend. We have 14 churches that rotate on Sundays. See the calendar if you would like to know which church is leading worship. If you wish to make a monetary offering it will be given to the Brooklyn Food Pantry. Bible Study with Deacon John Deacon John Amthor from Sacred Heart Catholic Church leads a Bible Study on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month for people of all denominations. November meetings will be on the 14th & 28th in the TV Room. Hymn-Sing Hymn-Sing is held on two Mondays each month at 2pm. In October, Hymn-Sing is scheduled for the 5th & 19th, in the Small Activity Room. Bible Study Join Pastor John from Cornerstone Thursdays at 6:30pm in the Dining Room for Bible Study. Everyone is always welcome! There is no Bible Study this month on the 15th, or the 22nd, (in observance of Thanksgiving). Communion For All We will be having Communion (ecumenical) on Thursday November 1st at 12:30pm, in the Small Activity Room. Catholic Communion is held in the TV Room every Wednesday at 9:30 am & every Sunday at 10:30am. The Rosary is held every Friday in the TV Room at 3:00pm. Coffee Hour Coffee Hour (social time) is daily in the Dining Room at 3pm. On Sundays, coffee follows worship. Crafting Club Do you like to knit, crochet, sew, or anything else? Bring your projects and join us every Wednesday in the Small Activity Room at 5pm. We have community friends who join us for social time and for opportunities to share with each other what we are doing- and to share our knowledge with each other. Show off your work and show a friend how you do it! We always have coffee and cookies! Coloring Club Do you enjoy the therapeutic satisfaction of coloring? We are starting back up our Coloring Club in the Large Activity Room, every other Monday afternoon at 4pm. Bring your own projects down, or, use what we have already in the Large Activity Room. If there is something you want to color, ask Ashley and she can find an image for you.

Painting cup coasters! Exercise Class Here at BLC we have a great exercise program, Monday through Saturday. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are our standard exercise class. Tuesday and Friday are Strength and Balance led by Pam. Thursday is Stretch and Breathe, led by Ryan, a Physical Therapist. Music Therapy! We have 3 concerts coming our way this November! Join us in the atrium for some great opportunities to hear your favorite songs and maybe even something new! Monday Nov. 12th, at 1pm: Banjo Mike Evans Wednesday, Nov. 14th, at 6pm: Dick & Polly, Just Fiddling Around Join us for an art class on Monday, November 5th at 6pm in the Large Activity Room for a painting class sponsored and hosted by the Beta Sigma Phi ladies! There will be a sign up sheet in the Large Activity Room. Therapy Dog! Join us in the Atrium on Wednsday November 7th at 3:00pm to see Mimi, the sweet French Bulldog! Education Program: Hearing Join us in the Dr. Kelli Bogue, Audiologist and owner of Community Hearing Center will be speaking about hearing loss and co-occurring conditions such as depression, increased fall risk, and cognitive decline. She will also share information about treatment options and earwax removal, as well as answer your questions about hearing loss and hearing aids. Tuesday, Nov. 20th at 2pm: Tom Embury Blood Pressure Clinic Get your blood pressure checked (for free) by the nurse on Tues. November 13th at 3pm. The day of, there will be a sign up sheet on the podium where you sign in and out of the building. Walking Club We love to see you walking! Instead of hibernating in this cold weather, make a commitment to move more! Keep reporting those miles and give them to Ashley! Your milestone prizes are coming!
