Romans 8:37-39The Message (MSG) 31-39 So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us who was raised to life for us! is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I m absolutely convinced that nothing nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable absolutely nothing can get between us and God s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. I have been given grace in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 1:4King James Version (KJV) 4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ. 4

I have received the Spirit of God into my life that I might know the things freely given to me by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12-13The Message (MSG) 10-13 The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Whoever knows what you re thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with God except that he not only knows what he s thinking, but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us. We don t have to rely on the world s guesses and opinions. We didn t learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we re passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way. I have been given the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16The Message (MSG) 14-16 The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can t receive the gifts of God s Spirit. There s no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit God s Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God s Spirit is doing, and can t be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah s question, Is there anyone around who knows God s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing? has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ s Spirit. I am a temple a dwelling place of God. His Spirit and His life dwell in me. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17The Message (MSG) 16-17 You realize, don t you, that you are the temple of God, and God himself is present in you? No one will get by with vandalizing God s temple, you can be sure of that. God s temple is sacred and you, remember, are the temple. 1 Corinthians 6:19New International Version (NIV) 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?
