Having done all stand Brendan Mc Crossan Copyright@ 11-12-2014 One Stand where, is a question I often wondered about, what should we be doing while standing, and the answer to that is resisting the enemy s attacks; with the word of God in our mouths; we stand exactly where we are, refusing to accept the devils illness diseases or suffering or pain and as I read the following scriptures it came to my mind that I am supposed to stand in the place of highest privilege. Ephesians 6:13-Amplified Bible Therefore put on God s complete armour, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place ]. Standing means to stand to stand on your feet, to rise up, arise, if you look at the meanings of words you will be surprised sometimes what those words actually mean, to rebel against something means that you don t accept it, and to rebel means to fight back, to have an uprising, we don t just stand and let the enemy slap us about, No! You are to refuse to accept, to rebel against him refusing to budge from the position you have been placed in, and thank God he has placed us in a place higher than our expectations, to rise up means to come against something, to get higher, and praise the lord that is the position he has raised us up to. He placed us in a position that is higher than the enemy s position. God is so good to us he decided to bring us into that place in the heavenly privilege so that we could either stand when attacked or to sit when at rest; in this place of highest privilege; God brought us into a place where Satan cannot get at us while we wait to claim our inheritance, for example our healing acquired by Jesus at the scourging at the pillar, and afterwards on the cross where he put Satan s diseases to death; as well as fulfilling the original law, and died so that all our sins would be paid for.
Romans 5-1-Living Bible (TLB) 1-So now, since we have been made right in God s sight by faith in his promises, we can have real peace with him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 For because of our faith, he has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be. This is something that is not going to happen for us Christians, for it has already been granted to us by grace and blessings; we are already in this place of highest privilege, and you cannot get any higher than the place of highest privilege, now can you? And the word says the place where we now stand. In this place of highest privilege I have everything, for privilege means, freedom, licence, opportunity, dispensation, advantage, benefit, concession, and right. We need to see the fullness of expanded words which give us a fuller meaning of what has been granted to us by our heavenly Father. Let s take the word freedom, this means liberty, autonomy, lack of restrictions, independence, self-determination, and sovereignty, and sovereignty means to rule; dominion, power, In taking the words we have in scripture we know there is fuller meaning than just the word itself, for every word has a multitude of meaning giving us clearer understanding, for most folk just look at a word and think that is just it, or they accept that word at face value not understanding there is more meaning in the word than at first glance. We take the word freedom, and think this means we are just free, but it does not just mean that as you can see, so when you stand in that place of highest privilege you have sovereignty for instance, and sovereignty means to rule, and in the divine word it means to rule like God himself. Having done all stand, but when you know what it means to stand in that place of highest privilege, it carries with it divine sovereignty, power from above. The word licence means, authorization, certificate, warrant, permit, and excess. Look carefully, and see that from the one word privilege comes the entire meanings when the word is expanded.
Knowing the full meaning of a word in the word of God changes your perspective of things for God knows full well the intimate meaning of every word we speak, for heavenly knowledge is a weapon against the enemy. The word privilege means, for one example- dispensation and dispensation means from privilege comes the following fullness of the words that correspond. Dispensation means allowance, special kindness, and relaxation of the rules. Advantage means that you benefit, gain, improvement Concession, means, special consideration, allowance, and dispensation Right; means it is correct, accurate, true, spot on, precise. Licence means, authorization, certificate, warrant, permit, and excess. Freedom, means liberty, autonomy, lack of restrictions, independence, selfdetermination, and sovereignty, and sovereignty means to rule; dominion, power, So now you stand in that place of highest privilege and sit down in the heavenly realms when relaxing, means you have all these words corresponding to privilege. Your privilege in the heavenly realms means that you have the liberty to proclaim your rights as a child of the living God, and the word highest means that you cannot go any further up, you have reached the peak, the maximum height to where something can go to, it can go no further. In understanding the meaning of all words you gain expressive knowledge of the word of God. The devil cannot go to the place of highest privilege to get at you for he cannot ever enter there for this is where God himself is sitting; he could have come in there freely once but when he rebelled he lost his right to everything. Ephesians 6Living Bible (TLB) 10 Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord s mighty power within you. 11 Put on all of God s armour so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. 12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.
13 So use every piece of God s armour to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up. 14 But to do this, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God s approval. 15 Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. 16 In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. 17 And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. 18 Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit s wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere. The word of God tells us to stand and resist the enemy s attacks on our faith our health our prosperity, or attacks on our family. Reminding him or them, that they have been defeated by Jesus on Calvary and at the scourging at the pillar where our sickness and disease were put into the torn flesh of Jesus, and after at the crucifixion where Jesus put to death all our sins and diseases having destroyed them there for us. God is saying to us his beloved children to stand in the heavenly realms resisting the enemy from that vantage point. In war, the army that holds the higher ground have more chance of winning the battles, because they can look down on the opposition forces and they can see them, whereas those on the ground cannot see much of the army they fight. And it is in the place of highest privilege that God has placed you and me, looking down on our enemies. We need to constantly remind ourselves that the battle has been won and we are supposed to declare the victory that Jesus won for us, and to remind ourselves that the devil has been stripped off all power and authority by Jesus; and he paraded him, and all his followers, throughout heaven naked as the day they were created as captives. Ephesians 4:8-Amplified Bible Therefore it is said, When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive [He led a train of vanquished foes] and He bestowed gifts on men. Not only did Jesus lead Satan the devil, and all those who followed him as captives, but it is amazing to realise that he also gave gifts to men/ women!
Few Christians ever look to see what gifts Jesus gave them, but in 1 Corinthians 1-6 it tells you of some of the gifts that Jesus bestowed on us. 1 Corinthians 1Living Bible (TLB) 4 I can never stop thanking God for all the wonderful gifts he has given you, now that you are Christ s: 5 he has enriched your whole life. He has helped you speak out for him and has given you a full understanding of the truth; 6 what I told you Christ could do for you has happened! 7 Now you have every grace and blessing; every spiritual gift and power for doing his will are yours during this time of waiting for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. 8 And he guarantees right up to the end that you will be counted free from all sin and guilt on that day when he returns. 9 God will surely do this for you, for he always does just what he says, and he is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, even Christ our Lord. Here are just some of the wonderful gifts that Jesus gave to us God s children, and if you read it carefully, you will see there is nothing left out, for now, this very moment you have every grace and blessing; = 7 Now you have every grace and blessing; you cannot have any more graces and blessings, for you already have every grace and blessing in this scripture; and then he even guarantees us that he is the one who will get us into heaven free from guilt and sin. What more could we ever ask for. No matter what happens in your life you already have every grace you need and every blessing you need to withstand the devil, and you have it now, in this time of your greatest need. What exactly do they mean? Look at the word grace that God uses to show us his love, it is by grace, mercy and love that you are saved. What is grace and blessing? Grace is the kindness that God shows to people because he loves them. Grace is elegance, refinement, loveliness, beauty, sparkle, style, poise, compassion, sympathy, gentleness, kind heartedness, thoughtfulness, humanity, consideration, helpfulness, free from sin, love, goodwill; selflessness, reflection, kindness, benevolence, generosity, charity; modification, alteration, improvement, enhancement, sophistication, smartness, classiness, complexity. That is us in the sight of God always!
Blessing means, approval, sanction, permission, go-ahead, consent, lucky thing, good thing, agree, endorsement, support, sanction, consent, agreement, authorization, say-so, appreciation, authority, backing and support, consent to, harmony, union, concurrence, unification. We have God s approval and the rest always. Grace gives us all the things we need to find God s approval at all times; grace is the sympathy we need for others who are hurting; grace is the compassion we need to have on the sick and dying and those in need of help; grace is also free from sin and that is in our spirits at all times. If God has given us all the grace and blessings and you know some of the meanings to those words then you know that you can withstand against the enemy, resisting him as you sparkle and have the endorsement of God in union with and in Christ Jesus. What can the devil do to someone who knows they have every grace, every blessing in this world, and in the coming world, where we will live for eternity, nothing for they know who they are~ children of the Almighty God the Supreme Being the author and finisher of all things, the beginning and the end. He is the creator of all things, which gives him the power to destroy if he so please for everything belongs to him. Stand in the place of highest position in the heavenly realms where we now stand. See things from God s perspective here; you have been raised up with and in Christ Jesus, he is in union with you and you in him as one spirit, and you are standing in that place of highest position; then realise if you are in that place of highest position, you cannot go no higher, so why do you stand raising your hands up to God when you are in that place that can go no higher. The devil has deceived us Christians for centuries, he does not mind in the least if you stand in your room, or church, or wherever you are standing looking up to God with hands raised and eyes focused looking up to the sky. No! He is not bothered by this act; for he is keeping you from realising that the kingdom of God is within you, yourself. He does not want you finding out this truth, for when we find out truth it sets you free from the devils lies and deceits The Kingdom of God is within us, and this is where the enemy does not want us focusing on; for when you focus on the Kingdom of God within you, you realise
that Jesus is one with you in spirit and that you have every spiritual gift and power and the Holy Spirit is also in you and even greater you are filled with the Godhead, father, son, and Holy Spirit, you should be looking inwards with hands raised up. Scripture says lift up your hands in holiness, and praise the lord. Psalm 134 New International Versions (NIV) Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and praise the LORD. The word IN means a heavenly dignity, and condition, and state of being; so you are in a state of being and condition and heavenly dignity always seated in him in the heavenly realms and standing in that place of highest position in heaven in the kingdom of God within you. We are in the sanctuary for the sanctuary is within surrounded by the awesome spirit of God which has no beginnings and no end. The kingdom of God is within you, but the Kingdom of Heaven is where God s home is, and you are also connected to that kingdom by the silver cord of life, ~your spirit is already seated in heaven in Christ Jesus ~ though the Kingdom of God is within you are also connected to your father in heaven through Jesus and this is the place of highest privilege where you now stand. This can seem to be contrary but it is not; because you are in Jesus and in the Father you are in both kingdoms, and both kingdoms are united in the living God as one kingdom. The devil would try and get you confused by this, but you must stick to the fact that the kingdom of God is within you; and in this kingdom you have every spiritual gift and power, then when your silver cord of life is cut, you will leave this body and stand in the kingdom of heaven, where your mansion is waiting for you, For now focus on the Kingdom of God within and in all the gifts and blessings that have been given to you. Romans 8-30-Amplified Bible (AMP) 30 And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being]. Ecclesiastes 12:6- The Living Bible
Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young before the silver cord of life snaps and the gold bowl is broken; before the pitcher is broken at the fountain and the wheel is broken at the cistern; In your battle with the enemy; telling him he is defeated and all he says is lies, is what you are supposed to do; you are not to fight the devil or his demons or evil spirits for they are defeated by Jesus who has given us the victory and even declaring that future victory is sure; you are to resist them and resist means to oppose them, refuse to accept, refuse to go along with, refuse to give in to, to defy him. Standing in that place of highest position gives you the right to all of God s armour and weapons, to resist the enemy. Any army in battle tries to get the highest ground, for when you are above your enemy you can inflict great damage to them because you can see all that they are doing, and you are shooting down and they are shooting up at a target that is harder to see. And Jesus being the commander of heavens armies he has taken the highest ground and position in you together in him; for you must never forget that you and Christ Jesus are joined together as one person in spirit. Ephesians 6:13-The Living Bible So use every piece of God s armour to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up. Remind yourself that you are always wearing the full armour of God it never comes off you even for a moment or even when you are sleeping Matthew 19New King James Version (NKJV) For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? [c] 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. I know that this scripture is talking about a man and woman getting married and having sex together, but look and see that God joined a man and a woman together and as far as he sees, they have now become one flesh, he didn t mean just when they were making love, no he meant always in his sight. Now when God joined you and Jesus together as one spirit it means
always in his sight, even though you may do things separately from Jesus and even sin in your flesh, but he sees you permanently one in Jesus in spirit and we have to keep this in mind, for it is God who does these things not us. So having done all stand knowing that you are filled with the Godhead, Father, son, and Holy Spirit knowing that God is in you and that you are in God as one just as you are one in Jesus and one in the Holy Spirit it is in knowing these things that gives you the better advantage in your resisting the enemy; he does not have the Godhead in him, he was defeated by the Godhead and brought to nothing. When standing in that place of highest privilege know you are filled with the Godhead, and the God head had given you everything pertaining to life for God has given you future victory and God himself promises to lead us in triumph as a trophy of Christ s victory. In your battle to resist the enemy you have to realise also it has already been done for you by Jesus it is your victory through him. Victory is already yours! You can t earn it is a gift from God to you. 1-Corinthians 15:58-Living Bible So, my dear brothers, since future victory is sure, be strong and steady, always abounding in the Lord s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted as it would be if there were no resurrection. In every battle, we again have to be aware that victory has already been given to us, and even future battles have been won by Jesus who defeated the enemies of God and us. When you see things from God eyes you realise that as far as God is concerned you already have the victory because of Jesus defeating the devil and his entire follower for us, we don t have to fight, the devil all we have to do is resist the devil when he attacks. For all he has now are lies. The word resist does not mean to fight, it means, refuse to accept, refuse to go along with, refuse to give in to, defy. There is no mention of fighting in the meaning of resist; so we are not called to fight the devil we are supposed to resist him, to refuse to believe and accept his lies. It is such a blessing to be aware that it is God himself who always leads us in triumph as trophies of Christ Jesus what an honour for us.
2-Corinthians 2:14-Amplified Bible (AMP) 14 but thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ s victory ] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, Do you realise there is a wondrous smell coming off of us, it smells better than millions aftershave lotion; the smell we have in us is an aroma to both the saved and unsaved; it is a fragrance, the smell of God. So stand and believe that the battle has already been decided and you won; because it is you re indescribable God that leads us in triumph always when we believe him. Amen
