Texas Advance Directive Session On Wednesday evening, May 25, Melissa Walker-Luckett will lead us in an informational session regarding Texas Advance Directives. These are documents that state your choices about medical treatment or name someone to make decisions about your medical treatment, if you are unable to make these decisions or choices yourself. Texas law recognized four types of advance directives: A directive to physicians and family or surrogates (living will) A medical power of attorney A mental health treatment declaration An out-of-hospital Do Not Resuscitate Order We will have copies of the legal document for you to examine and consider. Do you have an advance directive? Is it up to date, or does it need to be revised? Do you have questions about the four types of advance directives listed above? We are fortunate to have one of our own who understands and can explain advance directives to us. Don t miss this opportunity to exercise good stewardship over your future. Making these decisions now can be a tremendous gift in the future to your family and to you. Family supper begins at 5:30, prayer time at 6:15, and the program at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, May 25. Royal Lane Census Survey Results are Ready! It is very important that we have as much support as possible from the entire congregation! Please volunteer as much as you can throughout the sale. You may use the Sign-Up Genius form below to sign up for the shifts that you will be available to work. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d45a4aa2ca13-2016 Not all jobs are listed. Some are being filled by the people in charge of those areas. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Garland Hamic, jghamic@gmail.com Our pledges and plate offerings through the end of April are running about $10,000 ahead of budget, but other revenues, particularly from church rentals for weddings, are behind our projections. This total shortfall of $5,300 in YTD revenues, combined with large property expenditures for repairs and replacement of equipment in the month of February account for most of the YTD deficit.
