DeBenedetti Room Service trip to Nicaragua through UT At the beginning of this service trip I didn t know what to expect at all. I had never been out of the country and I didn t know too much about Nicaragua either. My biggest fear was not being able to communicate with the people and children we would be helping. But after spending the past week with the children at the local public school, my fears quickly disappeared. The second we walked into the school, we were welcomed by the kids and they were so excited to play with us. It's amazing how much you can connect with others just through your actions by showing them you care. Getting to spend time with the children at the school was hands down the most inspiring and eye opening experience I ve ever had. These kids literally had next to nothing, yet they were some of the happiest and most compassionate kids I ve had the privilege to meet. With the trip coming to a close, I just wish I had more time to spend with the kids and more time to help the school. This has been an amazing experience that I know will impact me for the rest of my life. - Matt Hankenhof, University of Toledo, Senior Civil Engineering major Joey Leech Chelsea Rosfeld Matt Hankenhof FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI - JUNE 22ND In honor of our parish Feast Day we are continuing with our tradition of having a potluck/ cookout after Mass on Sunday, June 22nd.
