It will destroy every living thing and every person, but you and your family will be kept safe in the boat. Besides Noah and his wife, who else was to be kept safe in the boat? Noah would have warned them about what God was going to do. But nobody believed Noah. They just laughed at him! Nevertheless, Noah still believed what God had said. Now Noah and his family were safe in the Ark. Why did Noah build the Ark? Because he b what God had told him. After seven days it began to rain. It rained and rained and rained, day after day after day! The rivers and seas became great floods. All the grass and flowers were covered with water. The people outside the Ark now believed Noah, but it was too late! God had shut the door! Still the waters rose higher and higher. It covered houses, trees and even the highest mountains. All the wicked people drowned, and no one escaped. What a sad thing it is when people forget about God and live only to please themselves! A Level Lesson When the ground was dry again, God said to Noah, Go out of the Ark, and take all the animals with you. What great news this was for everyone! They had been in the Ark for a long time, but now God said that Noah, his family and the animals could leave the Ark. The first thing that Noah wanted to do was to say Thank you to God for keeping him and his family safe through the flood! He did this by collecting some big stones, and piling them on top of each other to build an altar. On the altar Noah sacrificed many birds and animals. In Noah s day this was the way in which people thanked God for all that He had done for them. Write on top of the altar what Noah was saying to God. God was very pleased that Noah and his family remembered to thank Him. He then gave them a wonderful promise. Here is the promise which God gave them. Colour it in. I will never flood the whole earth again. 5 Then God showed them something which was to be a reminder of His promise. It was the rainbow. Every time Noah and his family saw a rainbow it reminded them of God s promise.
