FYI: April 5, 2015 Easter Sunday Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed! With these joyful words, I, along with Friars Germain, Richard, Sam, Deacon Mark, Sr. Mary Joan and the entire staff, wish you a Blessed and Happy Easter Season. I guess the best word that fits this joyful season is ALLELUIA. Alleluia is a Hebrew word which means, Praise the Lord. We as Christians are called to Praise the Lord for all the good God has done for us. During these upcoming fifty days we concentrate on the Resurrection of the Lord and His appearances to those early followers of his, not in a historical sense, but the spiritual sense of the importance of the Resurrection event. The Resurrection of Jesus is the fundamental tenet of the Christian Faith. St. Paul sums it up quite well when he says: unless Christ is risen from the dead, than our faith is foolishness and we are the deadest of the dead. The Resurrection of Jesus answers the question Who are you? once and for all Jesus is GOD. He is the great I AM. Due to this, everything He teaches is true and just. Jesus Resurrection is not only the direct proof of His godliness, but also the promise that we, His followers, are offered a resurrection and eternal life. So, let us rejoice, let us be glad. The Lord is risen. Alleluia! Dear Brothers and Sisters, while we have time, let us do good. Fr. Dan Calling All Children!! Don t forget after our 9:15 Mass - we will have our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the West Lawn! PLEASE wait for Father Dan to come out to start the Egg Hunt!! Line up on the sidewalk all around the Lawn after Mass! Take the time to follow along with the Development of A BABY in the Womb from Conception to Birth!! WEEK #2 My body now has hundreds of cells inside a protective covering called the "zona pellucida", which begins to attach, or implant, in my mother's womb. After I attach myself to the inside of my mother's womb, I won't be a "blastocyst" any more. I will be called an "embryo". My body is making a protective hormone so that my body and my mother's body can live together, even though our bodies have different chromosomes and genes! The collection for March 15th was $15, 570.50 The Collection for March 22nd was $16,235.50 5 There is only one collection this weekend.

WE CONGRATULATE and THANK Jack Kilcoyne, Joan Kilcoyne, Joanne Lizardi, Christine Benton Marzo, Liz Gill and Bob Gill For the past twelve weeks these 6 parishioners have been involved in an intensive training program for Bereavement Ministry. These people have committed themselves to refining their listening skills, developing the art of presence, and heightening their sensitivity for being able to be present to those who will be sustaining the loss of a loved one. During these recent weeks they came together to study, discuss, share insights, as well as do role-plays of possible situations in which they may be involved. We are grateful for their commitment to this privileged ministry. Please keep them and all our ministers in your prayers.
