Isaac s Ideas Well, here we go with another New Year so, Happy New Year to you and yours! It is always very exciting to begin a new year. It is a time when we look forward to new and improved things in our lives with a new year come better things right? A new year is a time when we evaluate ourselves and our lives, to determine how we can become better individuals. We attempt to fix the things that were not so good in the previous year and often tend to build on the things that we think to be good. It is just a time when we review our lives and attempt to make improvements. It is always interesting to me, at least in my life, that we are always able to pinpoint those things that are not so good in our lives. We are able to determine, with little effort, those items, activities, practices which bring about less than excellence. The fact is that we know those things, in our hearts, already! Some of these things we set out to alter, change, and improve; so that this time next year, our lives will have been more successful we call this making New Year s resolutions! The problem is that more often than not, these changes are just surface attempts and are not changes of the heart. They are not alterations that we want more than anything else. And as a result, we most often drop the effort to improve very soon. Because of this situation, we usually find ourselves attempting to make the same changes year after year. We are not willing to take the necessary steps to improve our lives.as a result; each year we walk into the same failures that we experienced the previous year. We have a hard time improving ourselves! The reality is that we find this same condition associated with our spiritual lives. The fact is that not one of us is where our God want us to be, spiritually. Just as it is with our personal lives; it is quite easy to identify from where the spiritual failures arise for most of us, we don t have to contemplate very long to realize where and how we fail. The problem is that we fight the same ole problems and failures each and every year. Sure, we will pledge a new commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ every year. We will lay out a seemly workable inventory of steps necessary to guide us in a closer walk with our Savior. But unfortunately and more often than not, our hearts and souls are not into the life-style change necessary for such spiritual success. Like our personal resolutions; we quickly loose our new focus and fall right back into the old life patterns. The fact is that God does not plan for us to be spiritual failures. He wants us to excel in His spiritual desires. This year, maybe we should ask God to identify the things that He wants improved in our lives; rather than establishing our own list. Perhaps, we should also ask for His direction and power to prepare the way for our spiritual success. You see, when we lean on His authority and power, nothing is impossible. I encourage us to make God driven resolutions this year.that s the key to success! Love in Christ; Bro. Isaac

MINISTRIES Bethel Love in Action ACTS House of Love and Mercy Life Choice Ctr. MISSIONARIES Waffler Family Kaysheen & Stephanie Nikki Chandler Wes & Amy Black Brandi Dunn MILITARY Jody Gann Chase Richard Jody Fuller Bryan Spivey Tom Wallace Roger Watrous Acts: For the month of January we will be collecting Mac & Cheese & Potatoes. Collection Box is located outside of the Prayer Room. Thanks for serving in this ministry. TALLAWEKA TIDBITS The Church elected for signed-postcards to be mailed to all persons who are on the church prayer-list and who are prayed for on Wednesday night. These cards are signed by all persons attending Wednesday Night Services. If you want the person for whom you have requested prayer to receive signed postcards; please make sure you have a correct mailing address available for Paula Miller. This will cut down on the significant number of returned cards due to incorrect address. It is important to remember that as we leave rooms/areas, to turn out the lights. This is particularly important for those who lead/teach groups.please make sure all lights are turned off before exiting an area! Please remember to look around your seating area as you depart after Services, and see if there is trash that your leaving. Please assist with getting all color-crayons back in the basket in the back of the Worship Center. Also, please assist in keeping a close eye on the trays attached on the back of the pews...they also easily become filled with personal trash.

Because We Care Goodbye 2016! Thank you so much for your support in 2016. Because of your generosity a total of 22 gift bags and numerous cards were delivered to our shut-ins in February for Valentines Day, December for Christmas, and cards were hand or mail delivered in March for Easter. All of the cards, gifts, and visits were greatly appreciated and brought a smile to each recipient. They were touched to have been remembered and we received such sweet blessings during our visits. The card ministry is thriving with 144 families receiving a post card each month with an inspirational thought and scripture verses to be read. Cards for various occasions are sent through-out the year as well. In 2016, a total of 2,308 cards were mailed. That total includes 125 prayer grams from our mid-week prayer and praise service. This ministry began on July 13th and from then through December 28th some 278 plus prayer requests were made. Just a quick reminder concerning the prayer grams: Please provide correct address so the cards will be delivered to those we prayed for and not returned to the church. Because We Care also gave to several missions such as Life Choice, Annie Armstrong, Children s Home, and helped several families in need throughout the year. One last THANK YOU, for your help in making 2016 a successful year of service. Hello 2017! Happy New Year! We are looking forward to a great year of service. Because We Care will begin collecting Valentine cards through Wednesday, February 8th for our shut-ins. Easter cards will be collected for the shut-ins from April 2nd 12th. No postage is needed, just put the recipient s name on the envelope and we will do the rest. Thanks so much for your love and support of the BWC ministry. Love, Paula
