My name is Sidney Miller, a passionate forerunner for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a well learned energetic young man that has a heart for people. My educational background includes a Psychology degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; a Masters of Ministry at Hardin University and current pursuit of a Doctorate of Ministry at Harding University in Searcy, AR. I am the husband of one wife, Shantail Miller, and the father of twin daughters, Shayconna & Sydnei Miller. Second Chance Empowering Ministries is a Bible based; Christ centered Ministry where our mission is to Change Man from the Inside Out. It is my belief that in order to accomplish this momentous task of reaching and teaching the people of today s generation, we must employ multiple forms of communications and delivery of God s Word. Our ministry has been viewed on television and heard on the radio. As Pastor, we have successfully launched the following ministries as well: Church Website: Second Chance Empowering Ministries can be found on the web at www.scemmbc.com. On our website viewers can read our Vision and Mission Statements. They can also submit prayer request and view clips from our Sunday worship services on our website. Coming soon, visitors will be able to purchase CDs and DVDs of our services online. (Under construction) Prison Ministry: Second Chance has developed a strong fellowship with Cummins Prison. Our correspondence volunteers assist in writing letters of inspiration and answering questions from the inmates. We also fellowship with the unit monthly. Live Radio show: Spiritual Insights is a live broadcast developed to bring awareness to the world about the dual realms in which man is engaged, spiritual and physical. How they war against one another and what it takes to walk in the dominion God gave us from creation s start. Knowing what we are up against places us ahead in the warfare. I can be heard on Wednesday s at 11am on Joynetradio.com. As senior pastor of Second Chance Ministries, my goal has always been to usher the body of believers into a realm of praise and worship where they can not only approach the veil of the Holy of Holies, but be able to go beyond the veil. This level of praise and worship brings forth the anointing. Where the anointing dwells, its power destroys yokes, lift burdens and places generational curses under arrest.
THE VISION OF GOD S CHURCH God has given me an awesome vision: to Love, Lead and Live like Christ. A vision where families are strong units, grounded and founded in the Word, raising men and women to be people of integrity, honor and discipline. A vision where communities work together to help the less fortunate so that everyone is not only employed but empowered to be effective contributing members of society. A vision where the men and women of faith will turn into the Word of GOD (incarnational) and governments and corporations will seek counsel from the men and women of faith (Christian Faith) in leadership in business and governmental affairs. Saints, the anointing is attractive. It draws different nationalities and ethnicities from all walks of life. We should take this precious opportunity to mold disciples into soldiers ready and willing to spread The Good News of Jesus Christ. We as a people must condition our minds to the truth that the sanctuary is primarily for worship; when we leave the sanctuary it is time to minister to the homeless, hungry, naked and imprisoned. This all becomes possible through an in-depth bible study and preaching the unadulterated Word of God. It is my responsibility to lead my people back home into a land of prosperity, making their vision a reality. It is my belief that the church should serve as a refuge to the poor, the wounded and those who are burdened down. We should be the corner stone of the community. Unfortunately, many times the church allows the community to dictate what goes on in the House of God. When the reality is that instead of conforming to the world, we should be transforming the world. The Lord said, Without vision, my people will perish. Vision is the beginning of leadership. Vision is the backbone of unity. Vision is the avenue to change. Change will create a people willing to work outside the church to build the worship of the church. Change is the foundation of repentance and the Salvation of the Lord.
Life lies at the cross: My goal is to get my people back home! (Heaven) from whence we come. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it (Eccl 12:7).
