EVERYDA Y STE WA RD SH I P - RECOG NIZE G OD I N YOUR O RDI NARY M O MENTS My wife has a hope chest filled with items from her past. Some memories contained in there are joyous, while others are painful and filled with sorrow. However, all those memories helped to make her the person she is today. They h a v e b e c o m e a p a r t o f h e r v e r y b e i n g. Traditionally, a hope chest contained linens and clothing for a woman's wedding day. It was a chest filled with the hope for the future. As time goes by, many of our hopes are fulfilled. However, life never goes exactly as planned. Some hopes are dashed by unfortunate circumstances or bad choices we have made. Our hearts are like hope chests that long for the day when we are joined for eternity with our God. Along the way, our chest may accumulate additional items that we collect on our life's journey. If we are gracious and generous along the way, our chest will fill with fruit to abundance. If we live more with a focus on ourselves, we will find our hope chests nearly barren. We will, in fact, lose hope. May the hope chest of your heart be overflowing with love that you have freely given and that has come back to you tenfold. May your generosity provide hope for the h o p e l e s s, a n d m a y y o u r h o p e a l w a y s r e m a i n s t r o n g. --Tracy Earl Welliver, MTS Thank you to those who have participated in the annual Seminarian Collection: Hope for the Future, Help them Today. There is still time to respond to the great need we have to support our local seminarians. Have you made your gift? So far this year our parishes have raised $ 790.00. Last year, we raised a total of $ 5,360.00. Let us see if we can increase our support of this important part of the mission of the Diocese of Green Bay. Disciples need to support one another. Make your gift today by mailing in your pledge card or visit www.catholicfoundationgb.org/give. Page 5 Three Parish Catholic Family
