A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR CONGREGATIONAL LIFE COMMITTEE The Call Committee and the Congregational Life Committee invited congregation members to meet our pastoral candidate Paul Bodin and his wife Cherie during Fellowship time on March 22 nd. The Congregational Life Committee provided the baked goods and beverages. The Congregational Life Committee invites all congregation members and guests to our Annual Easter Potluck Brunch. Signup sheets are located at the POP Newsstand. Please indicate what you plan to bring from these choices: Brunch Casserole, Fresh Fruit, or a Bread item. The brunch will be served at 8:00AM between services. Please have your casseroles cooked and ready to eat. We can keep them warm if you plan to attend the 7:00AM service. We wish you all a very Happy Easter. Please mark your calendars for April 26 th when we will celebrate both Affirmation of Baptism and Teacher Appreciation. During Fellowship, the Congregational Life Committee will serve cake and you are invited to stay and congratulate our confirmands and teachers. 3

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL SATURDAY, MAY 16, 2015 POP s 5 th Annual Strawberry Festival is coming in only a few short weeks! We need you to sign up on the volunteer poster in the POP Welcome Area to be part of our team. It s fun, it s work, but you have a chance to be with your church family and friends and, at the same time, give back to the community. We need volunteers at 2:00PM and 5:00PM every Monday beginning March 23 rd to help chop strawberries, make jam, and decorate jars. Please save plastic grocery bags and bring them to the newsstand. We need donations of 10-pound bags of sugar; new half pint jars with lids, etc. (available at Wal-Mart), and chopped frozen or fresh rhubarb. You can also make a cash donation for Strawberry Festival supplies. We also need nice hand made items, antiques, small appliances, unusual items, gift baskets, gift certificates, etc. for our silent auction and empty, nice woven baskets and containers to make up gift baskets. We need kids toys, games, books and clothing items. We also need live plants but not until the day before the festival. Proceeds this year will be distributed to POP Service Projects, Habitat for Humanity, Pilots for Christ, and the Suicide Prevention Coalition. Questions or ideas? If you have a senior graduating from high school or college this spring please bring a photo of them to the church office so it can be displayed in the welcome area. Deadline is May 15 th. Don t forget to look at and bid on the beautiful bowls in the welcome area. The bowls were made by the Wednesday night youth. Proceeds will go to the Soup Kitchen.
