Our annual Chalice Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Sunday, November 24th following the 10:00 worship service. Bring a dish to share and check out the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the Worship Center. Carol Grisez (dgrisez@cox.net) needs people who are interested in roasting a turkey or a ham, so contact her if you would be willing. Table service will be provided. Thank you to the many who helped make the Craft Fair a success. People helped in so many ways with publicity, stuffing backpacks, landscaping, marking the field, baking goodies, resale items, face painting, photo booth, music, donuts, and much more. As they say It takes a village and we are so fortunate to have such a giving congregation. I truly appreciate all your help. Arline Stephens And a big big shout out goes to Arline Stephens who was the chief coordinator of the Craft Fair! Thanks Arline for all your hard work and planning!!

Christmas is Coming! Yes, I just said it. I m not trying to beat out retailers, I promise. I, too, have already seen Christmas lurking in more than a few aisles. Before Christmas, we ll celebrate Advent, a time of preparation. We remember how long the world waited for Christ s appearing and remember that Christ s reign is not yet fully present in our world. In Advent, we ll also be having fun as a community, getting ready for the Christ child. Getting out decorations ok, this is not the most fun part of getting ready, but if you re willing to help get the decorations out of the shed and ready to go, please let me know. We ll make it work with the schedules of those who say yes! After worship fun each Sunday in Advent, stick around for a family friendly fun time! If you have an idea for something that all ages might enjoy and would be willing to plan that, please let me know. Here s what we have so far: December 1 Tasting Party & Advent Wreath making: Bring your favorite seasonal treat to share and make an Advent wreath to take home. To help cover the cost of supplies, please plan on making a $5 donation. December 8 Ornament making December 15 Hot Cocoa Tasting: everyone enjoyed this last year; are you willing to host this year? Another suggestion is also quite welcome! December 23 Surprise! Ok, actually, I m saying, I don t know what we re doing this day! Do you have something you would like to try? Please let me know! For the first three Sundays, we ll also be hosting a toy drive for the Chandler Christian Community Center. Here s what we re looking for: December 1: toy cars or other vehicles, dolls December 8: art supplies & books December 15: stuffed animals Finally, we ll be worshipping together on Christmas Eve as well. In the next weeks, I ll be asking what time will work best for your family, so start thinking now! Peace Abigail
