Revelation 17: Who Is the Whore of Babylon? 13 J An allegorical story of Satan's bride Rev.17:1-18 and 18:1-21 The historical account of God's plan for our earth was written in the Scriptures or the Holy Bible in two marvelous ways. One way was by the eyewitnesses seeing, experiencing and recording the events. The second way was to use a symbolic allegorical story which has an accurate historical fulfillment with every detail recorded later in the Bible. This story in Revelation 17 of the great whore of Babylon is clearly a symbolic story of a woman which is riding on a symbolic red colored beast and which just happens to have been fulfilled historically in every way. The account in Revelation 17:1-18 states that this woman and beast is seated on many waters and these waters are referred to as peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues. The meaning of this story is obvious and these are the nations of the whole world and they are her children. She is being pictured as being drunk or intoxicated with the blood of the martyrs of righteous believers. This story actually begins back in Genesis 11 with Nimrods' kingdom called Babylon which is the beginning of the whores' world empire. This cannot be the Catholic Church exclusively, since the Christian church had its beginning after Pentecost in 32 AD. In.Jer.51:7, God says through Jeremiah, "Babylon hath been a golden cup in the Lord's hand that made all the earth drunken, the nations have drunken of her wine, and therefore the nations are mad". Babylon was a real city in existence about 300 years after the flood or 2400 years before Christ. After God wiped out all the families on the earth with the flood of Noah's day, the population exploded and within several hundred years became populated with millions of people. Then Nimrod, a Satan worshiper became their leader and they built a tower like a large pyramid that reached up to the heavens. This was to worship Lucifer, demons and devils using stone idols and sacrificing ritualistically their own children. God was angered and scattered the peoples across the face of the earth and this when they became as they are today. Many are the non-mono pantheistic religions as they are today. Some of these are Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, and others with hundreds of gods and goddesses and collectively they are called Mithraism which embraces Freemasonry. This is a religion which embraces the occultic images as printed on the back of the American dollar bill in their religious programs.
Bible's account- the beginning- the whore-the real city Babylon in Iraq-4000 BC. This is the account as given in the Scriptures, "And the whole world was one language as they journeyed from the east they found the land of Shinar and said, let us build us a city and a tower then God said, nothing will be restrained from what they have imagined to do so the Lord scattered them upon the face of the earth Therefore the name of the city is called Babel" Genesis 11:1-9. This word means confusion and this confusion has followed this particular city in the country of Iraq for many religious countries until modern times. The power of the Whore and the religious and political confusion she brings, called the "Beast" with the seven heads and 10 horns and the mystery that she holds, comes from the Almighty Father and is directed according to his plan from the foundation of the earth. No one can stop or alter this plan and it must be fulfilled. Jesus says in many places, "the Scriptures must be fulfilled." The history that has transcended since Nimrods' day has brought hundreds of gods and goddesses and religious confusion to the masses. Some of these gods came from Assyria where they worship Ishtar and a son that was Bacchus, in India it was Isi and son, Iswara; in Asia, it was Cybele and son, Deoius; in Greece it was Aphrodite and son Eros; in Rome it was Venus and son Cupid. These are part of the beliefs of the Freemasons that are part of the cities and in the governments of the whole world today. Many writers of books, such as, Gail Riplinger who quoted Arthur Westcot and said in 1903, A new world religion has been coming our way for a long time. In 1974, Palmer Muller wrote, "We now need a world religion; we are entering a new age". A completely new world in the making, an alliance between all major religions and the UN". In the past 5 years Rick Warren has been appointed the head of 550,000 churches in the world to bring together one universal Vatican rule. The Bible's account of the whore of Babylon and identity of the city. Rev 17;1 "and there came one of the seven Angels saying, "I will show unto you the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and 10 horns.. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sitteth and God has put in their hearts to fulfill His will and give their kingdom unto the Beast until the words of God should be fulfilled and the woman which thou sawest is that great city which reighneth over the kings of the earth Babylon the great is fallen and has become the habitation of devils All nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication Come out her my people... Alas, for that great city Babylon, that mighty city, for in one hour is thy judgment come. And they cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying what city is like to this great city For in one hour she is made desolate with violence shall the great city Babylon be thrown down and shall be found no more at all." This event probably happens at the end of the seven years of the great tribulation recorded in Revelation 16:15-21. "I come as a thief gather together in a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Babylon came in remembrance before God to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath and every island fled away and the mountains were not found and there fell upon man a great hail out of heaven, about the weight of a talent. This woman, called the mother of harlots, is riding a fierce and terrifying red beast that comes out of the pit of hell and uses its 10 horns to mutilate and terrify peoples around the whole earth. The 10 horns of the beast play an inactive role for a long period of time but comes alive in the end times. These 10 horns are described as 10 kingdoms that will rule globally the whole earth at the end of time; this is when Christ comes back to the earth to rule himself. This religious woman in the final stages of its fulfillment is described as a real [city- country] that is responsible for the development of the whole plan from the beginning in Gen. 11 nimrods kingdom, to the final end of the earth in 6000 total years. This allegorical story takes on an appearance of a physical reality when the name of "Jesus" is personally referred to as the "Lamb and Lord of Lords and King of Kings" later in the chapter of Rev. 17:14. Judgment of the great whore and drunk with blood win Revelation 17:1, 2, the story begins when seven Angels are sent to the earth to bring judgment of the great whore that sits on many waters. The waters represent the mass of humanity that's been affected by her religious confusion that she has been spreading since way back in Genesis 10-11, In Nimrods day, "I will show you the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters". This is because she has, in a drunken state, indulged in perverted sexual pleasures, in fornication with the inhabitants of the earth and then gets drunk by sipping their blood as wine. Red beast -seven heads-10 horns-blasphemy Revelation 17:3, the woman, the whore of Babylon, is seen over a long period of time, possibly thousands of years, sitting upon "a scarlet colored beast full of names of blasphemy having seven heads and 10 horns." This is represented by the 6 Empires of Rev 17:10, with its religious and political structure.this could be fulfilling the prophecy of Daniel's dream of the statue of a man with two legs and 10 toes. Daniel 2-31-35 and Dan 7:17, "these great beasts which are four are four kings which shall arise out of the earth" " I beheld and the same horn king made war with the Saints and prevailed against them until the ancient of days came and judgment was given to the saints of the most high and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. These seven heads and 10 horns are listed later in the article in 17:7 The woman arrayed in purple and scarlet, decked with a golden cup in her hand Revelation 17:4. Now the woman is seen dressed with magnificent clothing to
make her look lovely, kind and thoughtful to the whole world of religious endeavor, although being a mass murderer to faithful Christians. "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls and having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication these major religious kingdoms have existed with power and glory and have ruled the masses for 3500 years rejecting Yahweh as God. Mystery Babylon Mother of harlots Abominations Forehead 666 Revelation 17:5, here, this religious system is displayed with the mysterious name written on her forehead. "Mystery Babylon the great, mother of harlots and abominations of the earth". This title strangely has the number 13 in the number of its words in which the number could be a cursed force... The number of www in Hebrew means 666. This is a description that describes and summarizes how this satanic force has infiltrated the Christian movement In all churches in the past 2000 years and strangely becomes the RIFD identification number in the Obama s Health Bill. Martyrs of Jesus, refers to the killing of Christians. Revelation 17:6, This verse is describing the horrible suffering, pain and devastation, that has occurred because of the satanic power that has been released all in the name of God, the church and political governments in countries throughout the whole world.," And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the Saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration."this means overwhelming dismay but with no respect. Mystery woman with seven and 10 horns Revelation 17:7. The angel of God is speaking about the woman of religious intoxication and what is the meaning of this religious confusion and how it affects the political systems of the governments at the end times. These seven heads represent the seven major governments that were spoken of by Daniel in his prophetic dream. These are not the little hills of the city of Rome Italy. In this passage a different Greek word is used for mountains rather than hills for this passage. Some writers have taught that the Catholic Church are these hills. However, the Catholic Church has its headquarters not in the city of Rome but in another city called Vatican City. These major world empires have occurred over the past thousands of years in Israel's history. These seven world governments that have ruled over the land of Israel, etc. since Nimrods day are: Sumaria. Egypt, Assyria, Babylon. Media Persian, Grecian, and Roman. The 8th head will be fulfilled in the great tribulation during the last 3 1/2 years. Many believe that in Revelation 13:3 in its description, is showing the revival of the Roman Empire of Rev 13.It has now come alive again after 1948, in the United States of Europe and the United Nations as well as the new world order. This is since Israel also was revived in 1948 after 2520 years fulfilling the many prophecies of different Scriptures of the end times. And the angel said unto me, wherefore didst thou
marvel? I will tell the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her which have the seven heads and the 10 horns". This probably has been fulfilled in New World Order which has been recently established and covers most of the world. The beast-new world order-bottomless pit-mystery-born-again will understand. Revelation 17:8 describes the beast, which represents the political systems that have come to past over the earth since the beginning of time. They originate from the satanic influence and control that comes from hell out of the bottomless pit "the beast that thou sawest, was and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit. And go into hiding and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world." Seven heads - seven mountains - not the hills of Rome, but world empires Revelation 17:9, here is a description of the seven heads in the mystery, as being a city where the woman is ruling the world from seven mountains where she sits and controls the destiny of the religious and political affairs in the world. Some have thought that this is a description of the Roman Catholic Church and the Roman government that preceded it, however it is not. The seven hills described here are small mounds (bounos, Greek) and seven mountains (oros, Greek) are kingdoms described in Daniel, chapter 2, as Samaria, Egypt, Assyria, Persia, Greece, and Roman governments. This strongly suggests that the Roman Catholic Church is not the woman in Rev 17, because Satan has been persecuting the Jewish people since Moses went across the desert in 1491 BC. The Catholic Church started in 316 AD with Emperor Constantine. The whore of Babylon was founded by Nimrod almost 2000 years before the Catholic Church got started. Nimrod worshiped Satan as Lucifer and his disciples are described as the bride of Satan as found in Revelation 16:9,1. This is where they blasphemed twice the name of God. This is not the Catholic Church for whatever problems they may have they do not worship Satan. It is described as a mighty city 18:10 and several times by John in Revelation as a city. He could have called the city Rome but he did not. The city is now in Iraq and the government has been working to restore it for many years and make it their capital and to be the global center of government, religion. commerce and communication. As we watch the storm clouds with the new movements of troops of Russian forces and the display of power shown in the Pacific ocean by North Korea and the United States, we are wondering how the Vatican, United States of Europe, and the New World order will play out their hand and fulfill the Scriptures concerning the end times.
Bible believers-waiting-celestial city-coming down-revelation 21:1 Apostle Paul wrote "I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ but I fear less by any means as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" " And no marvel for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as a ministers of righteousness whose end is shall be according to the works." As we conclude this article from Revelation 17, those that are in the family of God, the "elect", will be raptured according to Rev 19:15 to Jesus Christ, his wife, spoken of in Matthew 24: 22. John the apostle finishes the chapter, Rev 17:14, with these words, These shall make war with the Lamb and the Lamb shall overcome them for he is Lord of Lords and King of Kings and they that are with him are called and chosen and faithful".
