Sunshine News INSIDE THIS ISSUE: 1-2 STATE OVERSEER 3-5 STAFF NEWS 6-7 CHURCH NEWS Bishop R.F. Davis, State Overseer Greetings From the Office of the Overseer... Greetings to all our wonderful people in the great state of Florida, The sense of excitement continues to build as we find ourselves nearing the beginning of our bi-annual State Convention. Already, all the rooms we initially reserved have been taken. We found ourselves needing to revisit our original request with hotel management and they most graciously agreed to our request and increased the number of rooms available to our people. Then we had an even more wonderful problem. We filled up again. We found ourselves having to return to the hotel management only to ask if they would consider again increasing the number of rooms we have available. They were most gracious and worked with us to help our people. We are praying that this will be one of the greatest conventions we ve ever experienced in the Church of God of Prophecy in the wonderful state of Florida. We are seeking God that every song, every message and every ministry will be so anointed by God that our people will be overwhelmed at His divine presence. My heart groans within me when I think of how desperately we need God. Paul said in Romans 8:18-19; 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

In every hemisphere and every time, humanity has always hungered for a relationship with their Creator. We find ourselves in a time when gross darkness has covered so many parts of our world. But still, in all humanity involved there is a deep yearning for the manifestations of the sons of God, and a personal experience with our Creator. Join with us in our prayers. Let s unite in our hearts with a burning passion to make our heavenly Father feel truly welcome in our gathering. Let s reach out from the deepest and most intimate parts of our being and let God be all He desires to be to all of us. If we open ourselves to God like this, we will leave the city of Orlando, forever CHANGED. We will return to the place we live with a renewed passion for reaching the lost. The harvest will take on new meaning and be engaged with a new fervor. Remember what Jesus said in St John 4:34 38 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. 38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. Fragrant Favored Fabulous

The Cultivate conference was just amazing. God graced us with His presence in such a beautiful peaceful way. I believe that every woman who attended was taken to the King, no matter how broken or well put together we came, we did not leave untouched by the King. Sis. Linda Mullings brought us to the King with her anointed way of delivering Godʼs word. Cynthia Tucker ushered us to the throne with her breathtaking love for the King through word and dance. Sis Anquette Wray took us into a place with our king that brought so much of His presence that we knew we are, Fragrant Favored Fabulous Thank you Florida Women for your continued support.. I love you all~elaine Love Womens Ministries Director Next Conference November 8-9, 2013 Hope to see you there!

Church News Miami Centerville, Pastor Vincent Ramsay In the month of March, 2013, we hosted a Family Night Explosion which brought together local churches. There were several dance groups that danced unto the Lord as well as praises in song. The power of the Lord came down in the place and this was an awesome event. This event was put together and also hosted by none other than our First Lady, Pauline Ramsey. Also, in the month of March, 2013, we hosted our Annual Friends and Family program. We had a very good turnout and were blessed greatly at this service both spiritually and also financially. To God be the Glory, great things He has done. In April, 2013, we had a Harvest Fest Program, hosted by Minister L. Hall. Minister Caley was our guest speaker and brought forth an awesome word. After the service there was all types of fruits, vegetables, and delicious goodies for sale. This was a great event. On May 12, 2013, Motherʼs Day was celebrated. We enjoyed a beautiful service that was well planned by our men. All Mothers were presented with roses and also a gift which included some treasured items. We appreciated the men for honoring us on our day, we were truly grateful. Also the First Lady was presented with something extra which was well deserved. Miami Ridgeway, Pastor Eustace Clark On May 26, 2013, twenty two graduates, ranging from kindergarten through college, marched into the sanctuary to celebrate under the theme "So, Why Not Ask?" Sister Stacy Harris encouraged each graduate to take advantage of the invitation found in Matthew chapter 7 verses 7 and 8 to continue to be academically successful and spiritually blessed of the Lord. Our Mother's and Father's day services were well attended and both services were filled with surprises. A 'sister of the year' and 'man of valor' were selected by ballot. The fathers were given a special breakfast on their day by the sisters of the church. Our financial day program was held using the theme "Every Chain Must be Broken." Bishop Clarke spoke from Mark 5:1-19, and Acts 10:38. He spoke of the significance of Jesus coming into the world to break every chain, and the importance of our putting away selfishness and disobedience. More than $52,000.00 was netted between the 'Hope' and 'Faith' teams in conjunction with other fund-raising methods. We are planning a back-to-school give-away in the month of August. God is Working. Niceville, Pastor William C. Nester In February, we enjoyed an awesome District Camp meeting. We were honored to have Bishop and Sister Davis, Sister Dotson and Brother Vernon worship with us on Thursday night. Brother Davis inspired us to stir up the coals of our soul, fan them with the roaring fire of the Holy Ghost and consume the darts of defeat from satan! Brother and Sister Nester blessed our church family and friends with LOVE FROM THE PARSONAGE, a spaghetti dinner with all the fixinʼs! They really out did themselves!

For March, the Lord has been leading us to do some Spring-cleaning in our lives. Seems every service has touched on the subject somehow! The Lord is talking, we just need to listen! In our Heart & Soul ministries, we were able to prepare 50 special dinners. We also had clothing and toys to pass out. Everything is always free to the people. Easter Sunday was a wonderful day of singing, preaching and dinner, it was greatly enjoyed by all! April has found us busy and on the move for the kingdom. We are looking for souls everywhere! The church brought gifts and finger food and a birthday cake with them to Wednesday night church. Sister Nester was pleasantly surprised, as it was for her birthday! On the 13th, a yard sale was held for youth camp. Most of the tuitions were met!! Praise the Lord! We also surprised our awesome pastor and first lady, Brother and Sister Nester with Showers of Linen. We love them and appreciate them greatly! Ocoee, Pastor Ronald Bates In February we had visitors from England, The Gregory's. We had 2 join the church by covenant. We had a "Prayer Breakfast" directed by Esther Hays, and it was a great success. In March the District Convention was held at our church and moderated by our District Overseer, Bishop Cornelius Williams. The services were good and had good attendance each night. In april we had a Ladies Night with snacks and a devotion. We are thankful for the Lord healing a lady in our church of cancer and has brought a brother in Christ through cancer treatment. We are blessed at the Ocoee church for having seven ministers that are willing to minister any time our pastor asks them to do so. We had a huge garage sale for the church and made a little over $2,000.00 to go toward a new roof. We are thanking the Lord for all of the wonderful things is doing in our local church and we are looking forward to much more of His Glorious works. Winter Garden Southside, Pastor J. V. Sullivan In February, our seniors were celebrated on Senior Day. In March, 127 attended Revival Sunday morning service with special guests, the Potters from South Dakota, ministering in song & again in the evening with Singer/Song Writer, Dennis Wilson, bringing the Word. We had a wonderful Good Friday Service, moderated by Gary & Claudette Watson with 78 in attendance. We were blessed by a monologue portraying "Mary" & Special Guest Speaker, Bishop Robert Davis, who brought the message. One hundred seventy-eight attended our Easter program entitled "This Is My Story This Is My Song" written & directed by Kevin Zinn. For March World Mission Month, funds were raised to help purchase a roof for a church in Jamaica. In April, First Lady Sister Sullivan was surprised with a "Shower" of linens. The youth & some of our ladies assisted at Orlando Rescue Mission. In May, the men had their newly formed Men's Night. The youth had a Lock-In.
