The Newsletter of Community United Methodist Church June 2013 Stories Everyone Should Know by Pastor Markus Glorify God Last month we were confronted with a little challenge: What are the stories in the Bible everyone should know?, you were asked and you answered. You provided a wealth of feedback in the drop box in the lobby. Encourage one another Eight stories were chosen to be highlighted in church starting June 9th. Now, about those stories: No, they are not necessarily the most famous ones; some of them are rather in-famous and some might even be considered unpopular. But I thought we d go with the train of thought from Second Timothy: Share J e s u s All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 If this is true then we want to bring it on here at CUMC: let s see how those stories can teach, correct, train and equip us even if they seem strange or out of touch with the modern world. What are those stories? Well, you just have to come and check it out: June 9th July 28th!
