Jesus' Death and Resurrection week ***PLEASE NOTE*** GOD, through Scripture, shows us that the Hebrew day begins at sunset and ends the following sunset, a simple truth ignored by many Gen1:5b, 8b, 13b, 19, 23, 31b Lev23:32c. GOD, through Scripture, tells us the time at which Christ was judged and sentenced to be crucified, as well as the time during which Christ was on the cross. Matthew, Mark, and Luke tell us that Christ was put on the cross at the third hour, and that darkness came over the land from the sixth to the ninth hour. These references are made using Hebrew time wherein the hours are not counted until after the sun rises. John, however, says that Pilate said "Behold your King" unto the Jews at the sixth hour. This reference is made using Roman time, meaning that is was approx. 6a.m. (the cock had just crowed shortly beforehand Jn18:27). GOD's word is holy and inerrant! What many consider to be contradictions are either mistranslations made by men not listening to the Holy Spirit Act20:27, and/or times at which GOD is being subtle. Very simply, the Holy Spirit gave the words, so the Holy Spirit must be sought to understand the words. The month of NISAN on the Hebrew calendar, corresponds to the month of March.
