The Journey of Silk Road------------Lanzhou Yellow River Custom Line Located in Lanzhou which is sandwiched by mountains on the northern and southern banks with the Yellow River going through. It contains a lot of scenic spots such as the Zhongshan Bridge, Waterwheel Museum Park, White Pagoda Hill Park and so on. Gansu Provincial Museum
Built in 1959, it encompasses 21,000 square meters, with an exhibition space of 13,000 square meters. It exhibits historical relics, the Wei (220-265) and Jin (264-240) murals, the chart of the Silk Road, and other revolutionary cultural relics. The Temple of Great Buddha Covers an area of 23,000 square meters and the largest reclining buddha in China was stored here. It is a 4A scenic spot. Colorful Danxia Landform Also known as the eye candy of Zhangye. Many artists admire this masterpiece as it
appears like a perfect painting on canvas. The Landform is surrounded by colorful hills, which seem to rise and fall like waves. Jiayu Pass 6 kilometers far from the downtown of Jiayu city and located in southwest of the city. It was the main point of the west part of the Great Wall in Ming Dynasty. Crescent Spring
At the foot of the mountain is a crystal-clear lake shaped like the crescent moon. Hence the name is the Crescent Moon Lake. The Sing Sand Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring is a rare desert view in the world. Mogao Caves Also known as the Caves of the Thousand Buddhas. It s a form of a system of 492 temples 25 km southeast of the center of Dunhuang, an oasis strategically located at a religious and cultural crossroads on the Silk Road in Gansu Province. Application Qualifications 1. Students who are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as well as high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited college or university. 2. Applicants should bear in mind that some of the activities in this summer program may be physically challenging and involve intensive interpersonal interaction. Candidates who will be able to get the most out of the exchange program are those who have related skills to meet these requirements.
