Finding the Locations in Sabino Canyon #1 Seeing Brother Branham s photos On Thursday morning, March 10, 1966, Brother Billy Paul called me and told me he was going to spend the day in Sabino. Later on that same evening, he again called me. He was very discouraged, and asked me to come over to see him at his house on Edison. There he shared with me his burden of his discouragement and loneliness, since his dad had passed away on December 24, 1965. He thought the Lord would say something to him or give him some direction or encouragement that day. He made the remark, Brother Pearry, I d give anything to be able to find this place where God did these things for my father. So I asked, Brother Billy, your daddy mentioned that he took pictures; did you ever see the pictures that he took? Yes, I ve got them. Where are they? I asked. Well, he replied, they re back there in the office. Could I see them? Brother Billy Paul brought out a package of pictures, with the negatives, and we began to look at them. There were 20 exposures on a roll. I noticed that they were numbered, and that they were in the sequence that Brother Branham had taken them. The last two pictures were of Billy Paul s children in front of his house, so I asked, Brother Billy, who took these pictures? Daddy did. These last two? I asked. No, he answered, I took them to finish the roll. I asked, Are you telling me that Brother Branham took number 1 through 18? Yes. I looked at them in the sequence that Brother Branham took them. When I saw one that looked like an eagle perched way up high, with his wings pulled back, looking downward over his right shoulder, I said, Brother Billy, I may have to charter an airplane or a helicopter, but I believe I ll find that rock. I knew Brother Branham wasn t someone who took photos as a hobby, and he would not have taken pictures of an area without a specific reason, so I told Brother Billy, I think he took it to show us the way to Eagle Rock. I wasn t sure that I could find the place where Eagle was written in the rock, but I did feel I could at least find the rock formation that looked like an eagle. One of Brother Branham s pictures showed the face of a rock that very plainly had the word Eagle written with white quartz. The picture did not show the whole outline of the rock, only the word Eagle written in the rock with white quartz, and some other distinguishing marks on the rock. When Brother Branham told this experience, he said, And there was wrote in the quartz, in the stone, white, eagle, just exactly what the vision said that the next Message would come forth by. [On The Wings of a Snow-white Dove, November 28, 1965 pm, Shreveport, Louisiana] In hearing this, it sounded like the words that were written in the stone were white eagle. But after seeing Brother Branham s photograph of the rock, I realized it was the word Eagle written with white quartz, not white eagle in quartz. Brother Branham didn t always get his adjectives and adverbs in grammatical order. For instance, he said things like, I heard Brother Green several times speak, instead of speak several times. I asked Brother Billy if he would show the photo of Eagle written with white quartz to the congregation on Sunday night, and he did. The photo was passed around the congregation so the people could see it.

Finding the Locations in Sabino Canyon #2 Photos of the areas Brother Branham had photographed On Monday, I had a very strong urge to go to Sabino Canyon, but I didn t because I had no one to go with me. At around two or three o clock Tuesday afternoon, March 15, 1966, I spoke to Brother Harold McClintock, and he agreed to go up the canyon with me that day. We had a late start. I only knew what Brother Branham had told me privately and what he had said in his sermons, along with the mental pictures I had of the 18 photographs Brother Branham had taken. This included photographs of each of the following: (Note: These are not the photographs that Brother Branham took.) (1) The jagged rocks in the center of the photograph, with the bluffs at the top. (photo in upper left corner) (2) A rock formation that looks like an eagle perched way up high, looking down to his right, with his wings pulled back. (photo on left) (3) A large rock with the bottom half of it cut off, which appeared to be suspended on the side of the mountain. (photo on right) (4) Eagle written with white quartz on the flat part of a rock. (photo on lower left) (5) And the last photo was of a canyon wall, as seen from below near the creek. (photo on lower right is from above looking down the canyon toward the creek)

Tucson, Arizona. When I looked at the trail, I could see that it went between those rocks. (The photo on the lower right shows the two large rocks, the trail, and part of Dove Cove.) Brother Branham had told me, I just get a thrill when I stand there, because I know that those rocks got in that place on the day of the crucifixion, when the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. When I looked at this area, I could see that it fit the descriptions Brother Branham gave for where he saw the odd-looking squirrel and the dove. Finding the Locations in Sabino Canyon #3 Dove Cove & the two large rocks We drove up Sabino Canyon and parked my pickup at the top. This was my first time to be in the canyon. As soon as I got out of the pickup, I looked around and said, Brother Branham had those bluffs in his pictures. They were some of the first ones he took, but he wasn t standing here on the parking lot when he took them. He was standing up over there on the western side when he photographed them. We started up the main trail until we came to the place where it splits into two directions. (The photo in the upper left-hand corner is the division in the trail. The lower left trail leads down to the road. The trail above that trail leads to the west toward Eagle Rock. The trail toward you in the photo leads toward the east to Dove Cove and to Sword Mountain.) I remembered Brother Branham said that instead of going back around where the dove appeared, he turned to the west, which was to the left. I took a few steps around the trail to the right (east) until I saw the cove area where he had seen the odd-looking squirrel and the dove. (The photo in the middle shows the cove area that is to the left of the large rocks. One of the large rocks is on the right-hand side of this photo.) On the right-hand side of the cove were the two large rocks that Brother Branham described as being bigger than the apartment on North Park Avenue in

Finding the Locations in Sabino Canyon #4 White quartz, Sword Mountain After seeing Dove Cove, I turned around and went back to where the trail split into two directions. This time we went toward the west. We reached a spot where there was a large white quartz rock that partially blocked the trail. At this point, the trail was only about 18 inches wide. (In 1967, they blasted away part of the white quartz rock to widen the trail. The photo on the left shows the trail and the white quartz rock. The trail is partly dirt and partly white quartz rock. This photo shows how much of the quartz rock was blasted away to widen the trail.) When Brother Branham came to a spot in a trail like this, he would have stopped and looked at it. He was very observant. Knowing this about him, I stopped and looked around. When I did, I realized that we were at the same angle and the same height that Brother Branham was when he took several pictures of the bluffs on the east side of the canyon. The day I saw Brother Branham s photos, I noted that he had not aimed his camera directly at the bluffs above; but instead, he had aimed his camera below them at an area that I later learned was the jagged rocks where the sword appeared in his hand (what we refer to as Sword Mountain ). (The photo above was taken while standing at the white quartz rock. Notice the bluffs are in the upper portion of the photo and the jagged rocks are in the middle. Pulpit rock and the U shaped saddle can also be seen in this photo.) A little further down the trail is a ridge that runs out like a finger off the main trail. This is another location that I believe Brother Branham took one of his photos of the bluffs and the jagged rocks. (The photo on the lower left was taken from this ridge. The jagged rocks are in the middle of the photo, and the U shaped saddle is in the upper left-hand corner.)

Finding the Locations in Sabino Canyon #5 Eagle Formation As we walked, I continued looking for the other locations that Brother Branham had photographed prior to when he photographed the word Eagle written with white quartz. A little further down the trail, we rounded a corner and I suddenly looked up to my right. From where I was standing, the rock beside me acted as a three-sided picture frame. Through it, I viewed in the distance the massive rock formation of an eagle perched way up high with his wings pulled back. (The photo on the left shows Eagle Formation as seen with the rock frame surrounding it on three sides.) I knew Brother Branham hadn t taken a photograph of this rock formation from the same angle that I was standing. Instead, he was below the Eagle Formation and his photo had a tree limb in the top right-hand corner. When I saw this, I almost leaped for joy, knowing that we were heading in the right direction. I said, Well, there can t be many trees up here. So, some way or another I ought to be able to find where that tree limb would be between me and that formation. Sometimes it is the little things that keep you on the right track, not the big things. I hear Brother Branham say, Those who have obeyed in these small things will catch it in these other things. If they haven t, it ll go over the top of your head as far as the east is from the west. [Questions a nd Answers on the Seals, March 24, 1963 a.m., Jeffersonville, Indiana] (The photo to the right shows a closer view of Eagle Formation with the rocks surrounding it.)

Finding the Locations in Sabino Canyon #6 Identifying locations prior to Eagle Rock Continuing down the trail, we came upon a rock that looked like it weighed about two tons. We both noticed some very small white markings that could have been letters, and we wondered if it could have been the rock with Eagle written in it. Yet, Brother Branham said the rock weighed about 70 tons, and this one only weighed about two tons. It was getting late in the day, so I told Brother McClintock, You draw that if you can. On the flyleaf of his little New Testament, he began to draw some symbols and marks that were on the rock so that we could compare it with the picture that Brother Branham had taken. (In the photo above, Eagle Formation is in the upper left portion of the photo, and the two-ton rock in the foreground.) As Brother McClintock was drawing, I looked around and saw many of the places that Brother Branham had photographed. I saw the eagle formation perched way up high. (upper left-hand side of the photo above) I saw the large rock, with the bottom half of it cut off. It looked like it was suspended on the side of the mountain. (photo on the right) And I saw the canyon wall that was in the last photograph that Brother Branham had taken, but he hadn t taken the photo from the same angle that I was seeing it. (photo on the lower left) I looked down at the creek and saw that it went between two bluffs. This told me that Brother Branham had gone down the trail to the bottom and had taken a picture of the canyon wall back between these two bluffs. Since it was his last photograph, I knew that down there at the creek was as far as he had gone. This told me that the rock that had the word Eagle written with white quartz was somewhere between where I was standing then and the creek and the bluffs that were below.

Finding the Locations in Sabino Canyon #7 Eagle written with quartz It was getting dark, so while Brother McClintock was drawing, I told him I would run up the trail to see if I could find the place where Brother Branham took the picture of the eagle formation. (The photo on the left shows Eagle Formation in the upper right portion. The original trail went down by the tree on the lower left portion of the photo.) A few yards past where I left Brother McClintock, I stopped to shout back to him that I believed it was somewhere in this area that Brother Branham took the photos of the eagle formation and the rock with the bottom cut off. (The photo on the upper right shows the rock with the bottom cut off and part of Eagle Rock in the foreground.) As I turned around to my right (which put my back to the edge of the trail where there is a drop off), I saw a pyramid-shaped rock directly in front of me. It weighed about 70 tons. (photo to the right) Right in front of my eyes, at the height of Brother Branham s chest, was the word Eagle written with white quartz. (The photo on the lower left shows the word, Eagle, and the photo on the lower right has a broader view of the front of the rock with the word Eagle. ) It shocked me so much that I couldn t finish my sentence to Brother McClintock. I just went to my knees, and thanked God for leading me to the word Eagle written in the rock. Hearing my voice trail off, Brother McClintock came running, concerned that I had fallen off the trail. Then he also saw the rock. Because it was dark, we went home.

Finding the Locations in Sabino #8 Showing others Eagle Rock The day Brother Billy Paul showed me the photographs that his dad took, I asked him to show the one with the word Eagle to the congregation. He agreed to do it. So on Sunday evening, March 13, 1966, we passed the photos around so the congregation could see them. On Tuesday, we found Eagle Rock. On Wednesday, March 16, we went back to Sabino and took photographs of Eagle Rock. (The photo on the left was taken on that day.) At church on Wednesday night, I told the congregation about finding Eagle Rock. At daylight on Thursday morning, we took over 150 people up the trail to show it to them. On Friday, I came back again and I couldn t believe my eyes. It looked as though someone went to the other side of the canyon and took a high-powered rifle and blasted away at Eagle Rock. Apparently, some of the people (who erroneously believe Brother Branham was God) came back up the canyon on Thursday afternoon with hammers. They chipped away many places off that rock. When I took Brother Billy Paul up to show him these places, several spots in the rock had been chipped away. (The photo above is the day Brother Green took Brother Billy Paul to see Eagle Rock. The photo on the left is Brother Billy Paul at Eagle Rock.) Comparing the photos we took the day after I found it, with the photos we took the day that we showed it to Brother Billy Paul, the areas where they began to chip away the rock can easily be seen. People continued to chip away the rock until the word Eagle is totally gone, as well as many other parts of the rock.
