INSIDE THIS ISSUE: P1 Give Thanks P@ Grateful Prayer P4 Giving Tuesday P 7 The Holy Convocation The Faith Chronicle November We Give Thanks Thanksgiving Edition In this spot look forward to a special note or word from our Pastor to inspire us for the month. Watch this space to see what the Lord lays on the Bishop's heart for next month. Have a question for Bishop Moody or Pastor Carlis? Turn it in and look for a response next month. Email your question to faithtemplenews@gmail.com November is the month set aside to celebrate Thanksgiving. While we do gather with family and friends on the fourth Thursday of the month as a special day to be thankful, the Bible admonishes us to give thanks for everything everyday, to God the Father In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph. 5:20. Psalms also encourarages us to "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His mercy endureth for ever. Ps.107:1. What a great God we serve! He is indeed a good good Father. We don't need a special day. We should lead lives of thankfulness. As we go about our Thanksgiving Day, don't get lost in dinner, (of course they will be remarkable) but remember to be truly thankful for all of the many blessings that daily God gives. Be thankful for the good and that we don't think is so good. Don't take anything for granted. Remember to give thanks for Bishop & Mother, Pastor Carlis Lady Paulettea, the Moody family, all of the Elders, Trustees and Deacons, all of the Mother's Board, the Choir and auxiliaries, clothes, food, housing, family, friends, jobs, what you have, what you don't have, EVERYTHING! It's all good because it's all God! Our God is so mindful of us, and we can't thank him enough. Don't forget to remember someone who is without. Check on an elderly neighbor or a college student whose family is in another state. In everything give thanks.

Grateful Prayer Brings Peace By Rick Warren November 5, 2018 Don t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God s peace (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT). In Philippians 4:6-7 we find one of the most difficult passages in the entire Bible to obey: Don t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God s peace (NLT). It s not easy to stop worrying about the often-scary, everyday parts of our lives, but God tells us how to do it: Pray about everything.... Thank him for all he has done. Grateful prayer brings peace. God says that when you start to worry, stop to pray. Parents understand the power of gratitude. Most parents wouldn t appreciate their children always making requests without saying thank you for what they ve already received. God sees it the same way. He wants us to ask him for what we need and want. More than 20 times in the New Testament, we re told to ask him. But he wants us to ask with gratefulness. The Bible urges us to be specific in our requests and our praises. Instead of a simple thank you for everything, he wants us to tell him what we re grateful for. When I say to my wife, I m so grateful for you, she tells me to be specific. She likes to hear what I appreciate about her and what I m grateful for about her. God wants to hear the same things. So when you pray, tell God what you re thankful for. Prayer is one of the most important ways we tell God thank you. Thanking God in advance is a big step of faith. The Bible says that when we have the faith to thank God ahead of time for an answer to our prayers, miracles happen. The more thankful we are, the more God works in our lives. The Bible says that God inhabits the praise of his people. He empowers and uses our thanksgiving as an instrument of power in our lives. Talk About It Why is gratitude so important for our spiritual lives? Being as specific as possible, what are the reasons you re thankful to God? Spend some time in prayer, thanking God for those things. What are some ways you believe God will bless you in the future? Thank God for those things even before they happen.

Scripture about Thanksgiving 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Psalms 107:1 - O give thanks unto the LORD, for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever. Psalms 7:17 - I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high. Psalms 100:1-5 - (A Psalm of praise.) Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. (Read More...) Ephesians 5:20 - Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Matthew 6:25-34 - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? (Read More...) Isaiah 12:1-6 - And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. (Read More...) Psalms 50:14 - Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: Hebrews 13:15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name. Colossians 3:15 - And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Psalms 116:12 - What shall I render unto the LORD [for] all his benefits toward me? Lamentations 3:23 - [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness.

Getting ready for Angel Tree It is time to prepare for Angel Tree Christmas Gift giving. This program allows us to minister to children who have an incarcerated parent. This can really be a blessing to a child and their family during the Christmas season. It is a blessing to use as we get to share the Love of Jesus. Jesus is the greatest gift and the reason for the Christmas season. If you are interested in being a blessing. Please see Sis. Simone Warburton following service in the Geneva Hall.
