Shawnee United Methodist Church is committed to supporting our local charitable agency, Shawnee Community Services (SCS) at 67th and Nieman Rd. Please consider helping in one of the ways listed below for this holiday season: 1. They distribute two Holiday Dinner Boxes - one at Thanksgiving and one at Christmas. They are in need of 240 cans of cream of mushroom soup, canned pumpkin, evaporated milk, and canned cranberries for these boxes. 2. Their annual Christmas Party is Sunday December 16th at Shawnee Civic Center. Twenty-five ADULT SIZED SHOE BOXES are needed by December 3rd to wrap gifts in. They also need 300 gender neutral prizes for the Fish Pond game. 3. Volunteers are needed to work the Christmas Party from 12:30-4:30 p.m. You may bring your donations to the collection boxes found in the office and upstairs kitchen. If you have questions, please call Sue McDuff 913-631-3942 or Vickie Hammons 913-522-0481. Please prayerfully consider ways you can help Shawnee Community Services.
