CONSCIENCE FORMATION AND THE IMPOR- TANCE OF YOUR VOTE Lord Jesus Christ, You told us to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God. Enlighten the minds of our people in America. May we choose a President of the United States and other government officials according to Your Divine Will. Give our citizens the courage to choose leaders of our nation who respect the sanctity of unborn human life, the sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of marital relations, the sanctity of the family and the sanctity of the aging. Grant us the wisdom to give You what belongs to You, our God. If we do this as a nation, we are confident You will give us an abundance of Your blessings through our elected leaders. Amen. (Fr. John Hardon) You might also want to check out some of the following. Our votes mean something, and it is incumbent upon us to properly inform our conscience before voting. Some of their favorite things so far have been studying sunflowers to learn about plants, making a sunflower garden in the hallway, constructing plant books, listening to books read to them by their teacher, reading their own books and taking quizzes on them using the Accelerated Reader program, and having a chance to share and listen to each other during their morning meeting/prayer time. In the words of one student, We are looking forward to learning more and finding out what we ll be doing next! HOLY FAMILY PARISH MISSION WDJD: What Did Jesus Do? Look to the Gospels. A powerful new Parish Mission presentation Sunday, Nov. 11th to Thurs,, Nov. 15th For our parish mission, Holy Family has invited Fr. Tony Stephens from the Fathers of Mercy. For over 200 years this congregation of priests has evangelized and strengthened the faith of parish communities through their exciting form of preaching, that is both powerful and thought-provoking. With the Year of Faith beginning October 11th, this would be a great beginning for our personal lives and for our parish life. Talk with family members and invite neighbors or others, especially someone who has been away from their faith life. A parish mission can be the instrument God uses to bring them back into His embrace.
