November 11, 2018 Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time Page 2 Dear Bishop Ray: Q. Can you tell us more about what is planned for the Christmas decorations this year? I received a flyer in the mail but was wondering what you have in mind? A. Last year we wanted to decorate the outside of the Church and the Church grounds but we were unable to do so. If you remember, the scaffolding was up all around the Church and Academy buildings. It was really messy! However, this year we are able to really decorate in a beautiful way to let the whole community (and everyone who passes by) know that St. Kevin Church is alive and well. So, if you didn t get a brochure in the mail, please pick one up here in Church or on the parish website. The various decorations will give you an opportunity to memorialize a gift or to honor a living person. We will have trees, angels, wreaths and poinsettias. We hope you will participate and then enjoy the beauty of the season as you enter our Church. And, whatever you donate, as well as the profit from the Christmas raffle, will help us towards paying off the Church and Academy Restoration Project. Parish News We are reminded (in the Order of Christian burial) that in the waters of Baptism we have died with Christ and we rise with Him in new life. During the month of November, we will have our Book of Remembrance placed in front of the Baptismal Font. We invite you to write the names of your loved ones and their names will be remembered at Mass. St. Kevin Senior Club News We will meet on Tuesday, November 13th in the Monsignor Finnerty Parish Center. The meeting is from 1:30 to 4:30 P.M.
