Wednesday, February 21, 2018 You can also view current information on our website www.trentoncrossingchurch.com FROM GEOFFREY'S DESK... I want to begin by thanking Eric Yow for leading our worship this past Sunday and Jeff Shocklee for bringing the lesson. As you know, a number of our folks were away at Winterfest in Gatlinburg. I know that they benefitted from that trip, and I am thankful for their safe travels. I was away preaching the funeral for the mother of my lifelong friend, Jonathan Seamon. Jonathan and I were born one day apart, and at that time, my father was preaching for the church of which the Seamons were members. This past weekend, I returned to that location for the funeral, and it was wonderful to see a number of friends that I have known for years. I am thankful that I was able to be present for that occasion, and most of all, I am thankful for the wonderful promises of a better land beyond this world. While we were away, we received word about the passing of Mike Baskins. We were able to visit with him on our way to North Carolina, and I am thankful for the many good things he did for this church family through the years. We also want to lift up Aaron Shoemaker at this time in the death of his brother. For all of these families, we ask for God s hand of comfort. Finally, we rejoice in the baptism of Kimberly Prior this past Sunday. She is the niece of Joyce Carpenter. We wish her all the best in her walk with Jesus.
