News Church Transition Update from Council President As we enter into the business of searching for a new pastor, I would like to keep you as up-to-date on the process as I can. Please understand that although we just went through this process about four years ago, I like most of you was not involved in the details. Now that I am closer to the process, I want to share where we are with all of you. As you know, Council had two special meetings this past week that dealt with issues involving the transition process. On Sunday, July 24, following the review two documents required by the synod prior to her departure. names at a special meeting of the congregation. At that time, additional nominations will be accepted from the two weeks later for the purpose of electing the call election. Nominees must have agreed to serve. I would also like to point out that the members of the which explains the guidelines for the relationship of a congregation and former pastor. It basically states that we, as a congregation, acknowledge we no longer will rely on or request pastoral service from the departed minister and also that the departed minister will no longer serve this congregation. If you are interested in the wording and details, please see me and I will obtain a copy for you. which is required of an outgoing minister to complete document includes the insights and evaluations of the congregation and can be helpful to us as a congregation and to candidates for call. Again, if you would like a copy of this document, please see me and I will make a copy available to you. and want to be considered, please make yourself known Jay Keener, McKee, assistant to the bishop, and the Rev. Edward purpose was to instruct our council on the next steps toward replacing our pastor and answer questions about the coming process. Your council ended up obtaining the services of the Rev. Edward Robbins to be our Interim Pastor, with a starting date in early Dean. We will be served by supply pastors throughout the month of August. More details will be forthcoming. Strangers in Kenya: Oh, the Places You ll Go! yesterday, the selected student speaker read from Dr. Seuss's classic book, Oh, the Places You'll Go. But immediately...not eventually. You don't stick around here once your schooling or your work term has ended. take away hundreds more just hours after graduation countries and new college homes. Oh, the places they go...and they go fast and they go far! Another place where people are going from-- stable enough to enable hundreds of missionaries to work in the nascent country. Last week, that security collapsed. Please pray for the believers in South Sudan to be protected and to be bold in their commitment to Christ. Also pray for our many missionary colleagues who are evacuating to do so safely and with clear future direction. Lastly, Ryan and Heather are taking advantage of our proximity to the Mediterranean while here in East Africa to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary journey. Heather's teaching niche is ancient history, will certainly be augmented as we walk along those rate currently, and supporters who run a travel agency but we appreciate your prayers for the trip. Family Summer Sunday School So far, the children and their parents have learned how to play volleyball and tennis, how to fence, use get into condition for any sport or life activity. Our August schedule will include how to toss a shot put, how to run hurdles and to just run for pleasure, how to you are missing a fantastic opportunity to learn about exciting sports, to watch our children have fun, and to see their parents delight in watching everyone enjoy immediately following the early service. We begin in the social room with a short lesson concerning our faith and how it relates to the sport and then move outside to learn and demonstrate our skills. Everyone is welcome to join us. 3 Mark Your Calendars: Stewardship in Action! God's Work, Our Hands will be Sunday, will be provided. We are again looking for projects. Do you need your sidewalk power washed? Maybe you time and turnout last year. Please give our volunteers mid-august. Stewardship Sunday will be October 16, with the program entitled, Where the Money Goes. We will have one combined sanctuary. Please bring a covered dish for the program following in the social room.

My love for dolls was inherited from my mother. She belonged to a doll club, which was started by a group of ladies from the York area. conventions held in PA. I am downsizing my collection and will keep a few that are special to me. Some were gifted to friends and family. VBS 2016: SHINE! VBS 2016 23 helpers 23 children 6 teen helpers out and helped with Shine! All of the children seemed to love the music, the crafts, the games, and the snacks and yes, even the Bible study. great atmosphere for the children to come and worship God and help them to understand that being a glory giver is what we all need to do.
