Catechist Day of Renewal: Our Deanery is sponsoring a Catechist Day of Renewal to honor and enrich the lives of those who give of their time and talent to educate the youth of our parishes. The Day of Renewal is scheduled for Saturday, September 5 th from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Holy Dormition Franciscan Friary in Sybertsville. The theme of the day is The Catechist: Using the Beatitudes to Lead. There will be two presentations, a time for discussion and sharing, as well as private time for prayer and renewal. Presentations will be made by Sr. Natalya and Mrs. Marie Nestor. The day will conclude with Divine Liturgy in the Friary Chapel for the intention of all our catechists which will fulfill your Sunday obligation. Lunch will be served as well as refreshments throughout the day. There is no charge for our catechists, but reservations must be made with your pastor by August 16 th. I sincerely hope all of you who currently, as well as in the past, help teach our youth will plan to attend.
