St. Charles Borromeo Parish November 11, 2018 4 Happenings In and Outside The Parish If You Believe in God, You Believe in Stewardship Reflecting on the Stewardship of Financial Resources Parishioners must accept responsibility for their parishes and contribute generously - both money and service - to their programs and projects. The success or failure of parish programs, the vitality of parish life or its absence, the ability or inability of a parish to render needed services to its members and the community depend upon all. Stewardship A Disciples Response U.S. Catholic Bishops Pastoral Letter This week you will be receiving a letter from our Pastor asking you to make your pledge of financial support to our parish for the coming fiscal year. As you prayerfully consider your commitment of financial support, reflect on the power of a gift joyfully shared. Your financial support benefits all those served through the vital ministries of our parish. Giving also benefits the giver who experiences the joy and wonder of making a difference by living as God intended; living as a good and faithful steward. A Note About Pledging: We know that many of our parishioners give on a regular basis, but do not fill out a pledge card. Your pledges are our road map helping us to plot our direction on the year s journey ahead. We will be making decisions and future plans based, in large part, on the amount of pledges we receive. We invite you to help us set our course by helping us to plan responsibly. Thank you, in advance, for filling out your commitment card for parish financial support and returning it to Mass next weekend. Together, we can make great things happen! This week: Reflect on your unique role in sustaining our faith communitya role that God has planned for you from before the beginning. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. I have appointed you a prophet to the naons." Jeremiah 1:5 Thanksgiving Mass Schedule: Thursday, November 22nd at 9:00 am. There will be no 8:00 am Mass that day. The Parish Office will be closed on November 22nd and 23rd to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday. Pope Quote How do I do good? It s simple!
