You may want to write this down! Notes from September s Gathering! Nerissa Helms - CCEC Walk 107 Table of Lydia Nerissa describes what she called a set-up as she began a journey to her walk. She began her story telling us about how she lost her job due to downsizing and the search for other employment that lead her from a job that didn t fit to one with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc. This turned out to be a perfect fit! Here she learned that praying aloud with others was a must do. Let the freaking out begin. A fall walk, a renewed inspiration and desire to learn more about faith and her own denomination led to even more study and prayer. This led to the realization that (1) Everyone has a mission field, (2) We must love Jesus with all our heart and mind and strength in order to love others unconditionally, (3) Our jobs as Christians is to follow Jesus and (4) It is not just our responsibility to take care of the people of the world but of ALL things created by God. Nerrissa goes on to say that it was not her friends or family that were setting her up for this Emmaus experience, it was in fact the Holy Spirit. Next year will be her 5 th year with BGEA. Also, plans are being made to take a trip to Mafraq, Jordan, to a baby home/hospital to be the hands and feet of Christ. Her closing words. This was lain upon my heart and I know God will make a way, I just have to be open to his time. Decolores Rev. Jim Humphries response: Jim spoke of how the Holy Spirit is continually wooing us, even after we have accepted Christ as Savior. We must all be open to the wooing of Jesus. Submitted by Mike Raynor
