From our Spiritual Director, Rev. Dr. Ann Hagmann: Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays because God and gratitude are at the heart of it. In thinking about Thanksgiving, I was looking at II Corinthians 9:6-15. In this passage Paull reminds his readers of the principle of sowing and reaping. He encourages their generosity that overflows with many Thanksgivings to God, and concludes with the statement, Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift. We are recipients of God s grace not just for our blessing but that others may experience blessing through us and give glory to God too. What a great plan God has! May we have grateful hearts and live generous lives with others. I wish each of you a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I thank God that our paths have all crossed on the road to Emmaus! DeColores! Thank you to Elaine Jackson for reminding all of us to really stop and think about our Emmaus Walk. How are we being Christ in our environment and in our Fourth Days? At our Gathering I will be passing around the leadership and the Fourth Day Speaker signup sheets. In December we have to vote on the leadership for 2019.
