Heart Work Daily Devotion Guide 2016
Rev. Sherri Reynolds March 13, 2016 Fellow Disciples, Exciting days are ahead for Christ Central Church. We are about to enter a time of church-wide emphasis focusing on growing in our relationship with Jesus. We will be looking at the heart matter of discipleship. As part of this emphasis, the entire church is invited to study God s Word together. In this guide you will find daily scripture readings starting on March 28 and ending on May 1. You are asked to read the scripture each day. Then, rewrite the passage and consider how it speaks to you about growing in discipleship. Ask yourself, Do any of these passages speak to you about serving God with your prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness? Pray the daily scripture and claim these words for your own life. You may want to use the space below for reflection, the blank pages at the back of your guide, or your own journal. This is a great opportunity for us all to be looking at the same Bible passages and understand how they speak to us as a congregation. It is also an opportunity for us to grow in our individual lives of discipleship and grow closer to God. I Samuel 12:24 reads, But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. May this devotion guide be an opportunity for us to learn more about faithfully serving Him with all of our heart, and a time for us to consider the great things He has done for us. In Christ, Rev.
