Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, a national day of giving for nonprofits. This is the third annual Day of Giving. This event is called We Give Catholic, and will take place on Tuesday, November 27. St. Mary School is participating in this Giving Tuesday. Donating to benefit St. Mary School is a simple experience that you can do from your computer, tablet or smartphone at any time beginning at midnight on November 27 and continuing for a 24 hour period. Secure, taxdeductible donations will be accepted on the website wegivecatholic.org. By designating St. Mary School, the money you contribute will benefit us directly and place us in the running to receive cash prizes throughout the day. We have also secured an anonymous matching donor up to $10,000. Every dollar donated will be matched up to $10,000. You can also donate by sending in a check to St. Mary School by November 30 marked Giving Day on the memo line. Thank you for your support! Attention: Teens in 8th -12th grades The Upper Room is located in the Guardian Angel Building at St. Mary on the 3rd floor. Join us for food, fun, and fellowship. Our next meetings are November 18 and December 2 at 6pm in The Upper Room.

Zumba Do you want to meet new people and get fit at the same time? Mercy Health Parish Nursing presents Zumba! Every Tuesday and Thursday 5:00-6:30 starting August 28 at Second Baptist Church, 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria. The instructor is Jeanette Craigo. Bring a towel and water bottle. Call 935-5119 for more information. If you can t make it on Tuesdays or Thursdays Zumba is offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 pm at LaPorte Methodist Church on Grafton Rd and Route 10. Help Needed Help is needed to set up for the Sunday Evening Masses in the Hall. Set up consists of tables, chairs and food set up at 4 pm the 3rd Sunday of each month. EC s Holiday Craft Show Crafters wanted for Elyria Catholic s Holiday Craft Show & Bazaar on Saturday, November 10 from 9 am - 3 pm. You need to hurry; our Early Bird Special is about to end. Volunteers are always appreciated to serve or help with preparation at 3 pm. Thank you. Blood Pressure Checks Blood pressure checks will be available Sunday, October 21 after the 8 and 9:30 am Masses in the Weigand Room. A&R Bake Sale Altar & Rosary Society is sponsoring a Bake Sale after all Masses next weekend, November 17 and 18. Please plan to stop and see what the ladies have to offer!
SMS supports Elyria Catholic Congratulations Elyria Catholic for going to the football playoffs! A few graduates of St. Mary that play football for Elyria Catholic and cheerleaders came to surprise the SMS students. SMS students were dressed in EC gear with signs ready to cheer them on for an impromptu pep rally. Good luck EC! Marco s Pizza Day November 20 is Marco s Pizza Day! Paramedics Visit SMS Friday afternoon the paramedics came to visit St. Mary to talk about their occupations with the students. They explained what kind of training they had to go through to become a paramedic, the various things they would see on a typical day, and answered many of the students questions. The students thanked the Elyria paramedics by giving them cards and a basket full of goodies.
