Ministry Action Teams The following Ministry Action Teams provide opportunities for meaningful service. They are located on the Pilgrim Website at the Get Involved - Service Opportunities tab. Worship Ministry Teams Champion-Wendy Urfer 1.) Ushers - A team of ushers is needed for each worship service to hand out bulletins, collect offerings and usher during communion distribution. Ushers may request a particular worship service. Leader: Wendy Urfer 2.) Greeters Volunteers are needed at each service to greet worshipers with a warm welcome, especially our guests. They should be prepared to answer questions and give direction. Leader: Wendy Urfer 3.) Welcome Center Volunteers are needed at our Welcome Center to greet visitors and answer questions about our church. If you enjoy meeting and talking to people, this is a perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Leader: Wendy Urfer 4.) Altar Guild This group is responsible for preparing the sanctuary for worship each week. This involves preparing the altar for communion and caring for the paraments. Leader: Kris DeClerc 5.) Sunday Nursery Volunteers are needed to supervise small children in the church nursery, during 9:00-10:30 am worship services. This is offered for children up to 4-years old. If you enjoy working with children, this is a great opportunity for you. Volunteers may request a certain worship time. Leader: Stephanie Evans 6.) Power-point Creator A volunteer is needed each week to help create the powerpoint slides for the worship service at the GB Site. Leader: Carol Krueger School Ministry Teams Champion-John Schultz 1.) Welcome Center A great way to help earn your volunteer hours for the school year is by serving as an attendant at the Welcome Center. The Welcome Center attendant, greets guests, helps them sign in, directs, and answers questions. Two shifts a day are needed, 8:00 am 12:00 pm, and 12:00 3:30 pm. Whether you can come once a week, every other week, several times a month, be a sub, or help when you are able, your assistance will definitely be appreciated. Scheduling is flexible. Leader: Wendy Urfer

2.) Hot Lunch Helpers Volunteer are needed throughout the school year to help prepare, serve and clean-up after meals that are served to the Pilgrim School children. If at all possible, helpers are asked to sign up ahead of time on when they are available to work. This is another opportunity to help earn your volunteer hours for the school year. Leader: Kim Zimmerman 3.) Book Fair Helpers In December of each year, a school book fair is held to enhance the school library at Pilgrim. Scholastic books are sold along with other scholastic items. Scrip is gift certificates that are purchased by the school at a discounted price and sold at face value. The money raised by Scrip can be used in a variety of ways. One of the most common is to earn money in a family account that can be used to offset some tuition costs and youth activities. This is one more opportunity to earn your volunteer hours for the school year. Leader: Jenn Koetz 5.)
