Hinton and Johnson Connection 2014 June 2014 Volume 1, Issue 1 From the President s Corner Mary B. Lawrence Greetings Family Members! This year we will celebrate our 20 th reunion! I am grateful that our family is able to unite once again. We should feel quite honored to meet yet another year. I feel blessed to serve as your president. The Hinton and Johnson family would like to thank Rev. Milton Batts and his congregation of Bethlehem Baptist Church for allowing us to use their facility each year. Rev. Batts has agreed to be the Hinton and Johnson Family Minister. What a magnificent blessing for us to come together on such an enjoyable occasion. As I looked back at the early years of the family reunion, our family members took pride in coming to the reunion. They were so excited there was going to be a family reunion. I would like to challenge each family member this year to commit to recruiting new family members to attend the reunion. I would like to thank Mr. Cleveland Meeks for doing just that by reaching out to his family members each year to attend the family reunion. I would also like to thank those who participated, contributed items for the auction, paid dues and brought t-shirts to help make our 19 th family reunion a success. I look forward to seeing you in August!
