Mark 10:17, 21, 22, 24 But, 26, 27 17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 21 22 24 26 27 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. I John 4:10, 11 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. John 3:16-18 (to :) 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 18 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: John 4:46, 47, 50-53 46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judæa into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his

And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. Rom. 5:1-5 1 THEREFORE being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 3 4 5 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Rom. 8:35, 37-39 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 37 38 39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Zeph. 3:17 17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy SH 1:1-4 1:1 The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are 3 possible to God, a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love.
3 of 6 3/12/2014 12:51 PM SH 331:18 18 VI. God is individual, incorporeal. He is divine Principle, Love, the universal cause, the only creator, and there is no other self-existence. He is allinclusive, and is reflected by all that is real 21 and eternal and by nothing else. He fills all space, and it is impossible to conceive of such omnipresence and individuality except as infinite Spirit or Mind. Hence all 24 is Spirit and spiritual. The universal cause SH 180:25-27 When man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with 27 God all things are possible. SH 13:25-29 Because of human ignorance of the divine Principle, Love, the Father of all is represented as a corporeal 27 creator; hence men recognize themselves as merely physical, and are ignorant of man as God s image or reflection and of man s eternal incorporeal existence. SH 390:7-9 It is our ignorance of God, the divine Principle, which produces apparent discord, and 9 the right understanding of Him restores harmony. SH 13:20-24 If we pray to God as a corporeal person, this will 21 prevent us from relinquishing the human doubts and fears which attend such a belief, and so we cannot grasp the wonders wrought by infinite, incorporeal Love, to whom all things are 24 possible. SH 285:23-27 By interpreting God as a corporeal Saviour but not as 24 the saving Principle, or divine Love, we shall continue to seek salvation through pardon and not through reform, and resort to matter instead 27 of Spirit for the cure of the sick. Corporeal ignorance Salvation is through reform SH 275:6 The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind, that God is Love, and therefore He 9 is divine Principle. SH 256:7
4 of 6 3/12/2014 12:51 PM Love, the divine Principle, is the Father and Mother of the universe, including man. SH 305:22-27 In the illusion of life that is here to-day and 24 gone to-morrow, man would be wholly mortal, were it not that Love, the divine Principle that obtains in divine Science, destroys all error and brings immortality to 27 light. SH 286:9 9 The Master said, No man cometh unto the Father [the divine Principle of being] but by me, Christ, Life, Truth, Love; for Christ says, I am the way. 12 Physical causation was put aside from first to last by this original man, Jesus. He knew that the divine Principle, Love, creates and governs all that 15 is real. SH 182:30 30 To admit that sickness is a condition over which God has no control, is to presuppose that omnipotent power is powerless on some occasions. The law of Christ, or 183:1 Truth, makes all things possible to Spirit; but the socalled laws of matter would render Spirit of no avail, and 3 demand obedience to materialistic codes, thus departing from the basis of one God, one lawmaker. To suppose that God constitutes laws of inharmony is a mistake; discords have no support from nature or divine law, however 6 much is said to the contrary. SH 120:15-19 15 Health is not a condition of matter, but of Mind; nor can the material senses bear reliable testimony on the subject of health. The Science of Mind-healing 18 shows it to be impossible for aught but Mind to testify truly or to exhibit the real status of man. Health and the senses SH 245:27 (only) 27 Impossibilities never occur. SH 522:10 Existence, separate from divinity, Science explains as impossible. SH 302:8 912 It is impossible that man should lose
5 of 6 3/12/2014 12:51 PM aught that is real, when God is all and eternally his. The notion that mind is in matter, and that the so-called pleasures and pains, the birth, sin, sickness, and death of matter, are real, is a mortal belief; and this belief is all that will ever be lost. SH 153:16 You say a boil is painful; but that is impossible, for matter without mind is not painful. The boil simply 18 manifests, through inflammation and swelling, a belief in pain, and this belief is called a boil. Now administer mentally to your patient a high 21 attenuation of truth, and it will soon cure the boil. The fact that pain cannot exist where there is no mortal mind to feel it is a proof that this so-called mind makes its 24 own pain that is, its own belief in pain. SH 343:14 Jesus strips all disguise from error, when his teachings 15 are fully understood. By parable and argument he explains the impossibility of good producing evil; and he also scientifically demonstrates this great 18 fact, proving by what are wrongly called miracles, that sin, sickness, and death are beliefs illusive errors which he could and did destroy. Origin of pain Proof from miracles SH 2:23 (only, to?) God is Love. Can we ask Him to be more? SH 2:24-28 Can we inform the infinite Mind of anything He does not already comprehend? Do we expect to change perfection? Shall 27 we plead for more at the open fount, which is pouring forth more than we accept? God s standard SH 6:17-18 God is Love. More than this we cannot ask, 18 higher we cannot look, farther we cannot go. SH 37:22-25 It is possible, yea, it is the duty and privilege of every child, man, and woman, to follow 24 in some degree the example of the Master by the demonstration of Truth and Life, of health and holiness.
