SERVICE SUNDAY September 17, 2017 North Presbyterian Church 300 North Forest Rd. Williamsville, NY 14221 University Presbyterian Church 3330 Main St. Buffalo, NY 14214

SERVICE SUNDAY: WORSHIP AND SERVICE Service Sunday September 17, 2017 is a joint effort this year of North and University Presbyterian churches. We ll join together for worship then disperse for service activities in Buffalo and Amherst. Service Sunday is designed to exemplify how worship and service are tied together. We gather for worship to be rejuvenated and refreshed through song, prayer, and preaching. Then we go out into the world to be the body of Christ, using our talents to serve others. There are service opportunities for all physical abilities. We hope you will join us for Service Sunday 2017. ON THE COVER: Service Day logo drawn by Mary Mohlke in 2015 and used on t-shirts and other materials for the inaugural event that year.

Dear Service Sunday Volunteers, Please join us for this very special day in our community on Sunday, September 17, as we respond to God s call to live as faithful disciples to worship together and reach out in ministry and mission. We will begin our morning together at 8:30 in Westminster Hall (at North) with a light breakfast and brief worship service. Then we ll disperse to various sites locally. There are activities planned at both North and University Presbyterian churches, should you not wish to venture out. At around 11:45 a.m. we ll reconvene in Westminster Hall (North) for lunch, a brief share time, and closing worship. Service Sunday will be a wonderful time for us to reach out in ministry and mission to our neighbors and reconnect our worship life with hands-on action on behalf of others. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/service-sunday-2017-tickets-36641716360. Folks of all ages are invited to participate. The nursery in the south wing (North) will be staffed for children who are too young to serve.
