Prelude: Make A Difference....Youth Group You gave your life to make a difference. You gave your life to make a change. You welcomed all to your table, You're calling us to do the same. Working side by side no out or inside Together we can make that change. With a few or many With a lot or not any Together we can make that change.

Crossing the great divide joy & peace will abide Together we can make that change. Jesus is our Peace. All fighting will cease. Together we can make that change. (rapping) We're the citizens with the saints We're the sunshine with the rain. We're the joy with the pain. We're the change. You healed the sick and fed poor, Loved the prophet and the whore. Through us you will do more, We're the change.

Welcome & Announcements Thanksgiving for Baptism P: In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen. P: People of God, in the waters of baptism you traveled with Christ from death to life. Your past, your sin, your failure, your doubt, are no more. C: God s love washes them away. P: Your fear, your confusion, your self-righteousness, your despair... C: God s grace washes them away. P: Your pride, your judgment, and other people s opinions of you... C: No longer define us. P: The Spirit lives and moves through you now. C: A great and joyful mystery. P: So you may bring love and mercy in to the world. C: As the body of Christ. P: Rejoice that God has claimed you in this baptismal grace, C: not by our own doing or believing, P: but by God s mercy and love alone. C: This changes everything. P: And so as we begin worship, we give thanks to God C: for the gracious gift of baptism, P: that joins us together in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. C: Thanks be to God! Hymn.. Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing..(vs.1-3)..ELW #807 Come, thou Fount of ev'ry blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace; streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. While the hope of endless glory fills my heart with joy and love,

teach me ever to adore thee; may I still thy goodness prove. Here I raise my Ebenezer: "Hither by thy help I've come"; and I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wand'ring from the fold of God; he, to rescue me from danger, interposed his precious blood. Oh, to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be; let that grace now like a fetter bind my wand'ring heart to thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; prone to leave the God I love. Here's my heart, oh, take and seal it; seal it for thy courts above. Greeting P: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, A: who speaks truth to our world, P: the love of God, A: who calls us to new life, P: and the communion of the Holy Spirit, A: who gathers us together into one body of believers, P: be with you all. C: And also with you. Prayer of the Day A: Let us pray...lord God... you called Moses, by name, through the burning bush and sent him to speak truth to power; you invited the

woman at the well to leave her struggles behind and to place her hope in you; you encouraged Phillip to surrender to your Word, and your grace forever changed the life of the Ethiopian eunuch; you gave your only Son to die on a cross to show the world that your love does indeed change everything. Inspire us through this worship to listen for your call; be reminded of your love; surrender to your grace; and to find hope in your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. C: Amen. Song. Thy Word...led by Youth Group When I feel afraid, think I ve lost my way, still you re there right beside me, and nothing will I fear as long as you are near. Please be near me to the end. I will not forget your love for me, and yet my heart forever is wandering. Jesus, be my guide and hold me to your side, and I will love you to the end. Offering The Great Thanksgiving P: The Lord be with you. C: And also with you. P: Lift up your hearts. C: We lift them to the Lord. P: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. C: It is right to give our thanks and praise. P: Holy God, we praise you. Let the heavens be joyful, and the earth be glad. We bless you for creating the whole world; for your promises to your people Israel, and for Jesus Christ in whom your fullness dwells. Born of Mary,

C: Jesus shares our life. P: Eating with sinners, C: Jesus welcomes us. P: Guiding his children, C: Jesus leads us. P: Visiting the sick, C: Jesus heals us. P: Dying on the cross, C: Jesus saves us. P: Rising from the dead, C: Jesus gives us new life. P: In the night in which he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and gave thanks; broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take and eat; this is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me. Again, after supper, he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it for all to drink, saying: this cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me. With thanksgiving we take this bread and this cup and proclaim the mystery of faith. C: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. P: Pour out your Holy Spirit upon us that this meal may be a communion of the body and blood of our Lord. Make us one with Christ and with all who share this feast. Unite us in faith; encourage us in hope; inspire us to love, that we may serve as your faithful disciples until we feast at your table in glory. We praise you, eternal God, through Jesus your Word made flesh, in the holy and life-giving Spirit now and forever. C: Amen. Come Holy Spirit. The Lord s Prayer Invitation to the Table

P: Come to the table and receive Jesus in a meal that changes everything. Holy Communion - Today we will be using intinction. Please dip the wafer in the wine and then receive a blessing. Prayer after Communion A: Let us pray...lord God, we who work for change, suffer resistance, C: So make us strong. A: We who do new things, sometimes feel afraid, C: So make us brave. A: We who challenge the world as it is, invite anger, C: So grant us peace. A: We who try to love, encounter hate. C: So give us faith in you. A: Now send us out to be your people in the world that we may tell the story that your love changes everything. C: Amen. Blessing P: The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord s face shine on you and be gracious to you. The Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace. In the Name of the Father, + and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen. Closing Song This Little Light of Mine (vs. 1-3)...ELW #677 This little light of mine, I'm goin'-a let it shine; this little light of mine, I'm goin'-a let it shine; this little light of mine, I'm goin'-a let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Ev'rywhere I go, I'm goin'-a let it shine; ev'rywhere I go, I'm goin'-a let it shine;

ev'rywhere I go, I'm goin'-a let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Jesus gave it to me, I'm goin'-a let it shine; Jesus gave it to me, I'm goin'-a let it shine; Jesus gave it to me, I'm goin'-a let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Dismissal A: You are called by God. You are loved by God. You are saved by God s grace. You are God s hope for the world. God has given you a holy vocation: Stand up using your gifts to serve God. Stand for using your talents to care for all people. Stand with God s creation using your passions to better God s creation and change the world. We go out with the words of St. Paul: For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. A: Jesus changes everything! Jesus is everything. C: Thanks be to God! ************************************************************ Announcements WELCA is collecting the following during July for our mission kits for Lutheran World Relief for 2018: Notebooks (70 count wide rule), blunt scissors, pink eraser, ballpoint pens, crayons (16 or 24 count), #2 pencils, rulers (30 cm or in & cm), pencil sharpener (hand held).
