As we gather on this first Sunday of November, we are reminded to be thankful people. Over the next few Sundays, we will look to Scripture as it gives us reasons why we are to be thankful. This morning, we will read from Joshua 4. In this text, God gave Joshua directions to set up a visible reminder of what He had done for them. How are we remembering God s faithfulness in our own lives? In the evening, we continue looking at the Kingdom of Heaven phrases from the gospel of Matthew. In Matthew 18:1-4, Jesus reminds us that the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven must become like a child. With child-like faith, let us worship God today! CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS Cadet Fundraiser: The Cadets are selling the delicious Pastry Puffins again this year! If you have not had a Cadet come to visit you to take your order, please call Kent Zevenbergen at 439-1602 or email him at ktzeven@mtcnet.net to place an order. We hope you will become more acquainted with your group as you will share a meal 3-4 times within your six months. Group listings will go out the first of December. Talk to Nancy Driesen for more info. Operation Christmas Child: Operation Christmas Child brings hope and joy to kids worldwide through a simple gift-filled shoebox. But a shoebox is only the beginning! It also gives the children an opportunity to have a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through a Bible Study. This is a fun project to do with your kids too! Please have your filled boxes in church by November 9. If you have any questions please contact Rebecca Te Slaa or Vanessa Vink.
