Maybe in February we can see a glimmer of spring! February is sometimes called the Love Month. I want to thank all the residents and staff for the love you have shown me. This is truly a great place to be. Working with each of you has brought much joy and love to my life! Recent Events Pre-New Year s Eve Party December 30th Our residents rang in the New Year with a bang! There was dancing, laughing, rejoicing and singing to see a New Year. Quilt of Valor January 5th We were so honored to have three of our men receive the Quilt of Valor. The recipients were Odell Hall, Edsel Kuykendall and Willis Smith. FUNtastic Friday: Pajama Day January 6th The residents and staff participated in Pajama Day. Everyone was comfortable drinking hot cocoa and watching TV. Birthday Celebration January 9th Special Birthday wishes to our residents with January birthdays. We enjoyed cupcakes, drinks and entertainment with Captain Jack. A great time was had by all! Community Spotlight Rev. Scott We are already into the second month of 2017. Time sure passes by fast. Many people call February the love month. This month, many people will celebrate Valentine s Day. There will be flowers, candy, stuffed animals and the list goes on and on. The reason for all the gifts being purchased is to express their love for others. I m reminded of how God expressed his love for us and still does today. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever would believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Every day of each month is love for us, because of God s love for us. May we today, and everyday, share God s love with each other. God Bless each one of you, Rev.
