Stewardship Committee thanks each member who has pledged to the "Grow the Church" 2019 Stewardship Campaign. So far, we have received Pledge Cards from 120 members with $491,657 pledged toward our goal of $724,316. If you have not pledged, please consider submitting a pledge before the end of the year. We thank you for the crispness in the air and the promise of good times with family and friends in this beginning of the holiday season. We ask for your care and guidance in each of our caring relationships. We thank you for the opportunity to extend the cup of cold water in Your Name. Bless each Caring Relationship and the Supervision Group that is entrusted to care for them. Thank you for the responsibility you have given us to walk with each relationship along the way. Our Men s Breakfast Bible Study Group meets every Friday morning at 6:30am at Egg Harbor Cafe in Barrington. All men are welcome to join any week you are available. Email Patti at OfficeAdmin@pcbarrington.org Worship Journals Save the Date Christmas Vacation Bible School Saturday, December 22, 2018 10:00 am 2:00 pm Worship Journals, crayons and pens are available for children during the worship service. They are in the basket by the sanctuary doors. The children can pick their journals up on the way into church, write and draw in them during the service and return them to the basket when leaving. If your child hasn t received a journal yet, please pick up a blank one from the basket and have your child write his/her name on it. Please ask an usher for assistance, if you need help. Smaller visitor journals are also available in the basket for our guests to use and take home to remember their visit. PAGE 3

Bob raised over $2 million and proved himself to be an excellent spokesman for these organizations. Bob has some wonderful stories about the people he's met and stayed with during his unique travels. Presbyterian Church Fall Food Drive For Christopher House #Bring2Bags Our annual Fall holiday food drive needs your participation! Our church has always given generously to support this cause. Please fill your grocery bags with items for our Christopher House families. The goal is to fill 400 bags for families in need. Critical items are listed below, and a list can be found on the mailed grocery bag that will be delivered to your home soon. Additional bags can be picked up at church as well. All donations need to be in church by Sunday, November 18th. #Bring2Bags! STEP-UP for CHRISTOPHER HOUSE --MARK YOUR CALENDARS Monday, November 19th- FALL FOOD BAG PACKING at Christopher House Elementary School beginning at 10:00am. Our goal is to pack 400 or more Food Bags. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Your Food Bags are due at PCB on/before Sunday, Nov. 18th. The truck will be leaving PCB at 10:00 (Sunday Nov 18) to deliver the Food Bags to C.H. Woodstock Soup Kitchen - We need volunteers to serve at the Woodstock Soup Kitchen. We serve on the third Sunday of the month. The soup kitchen serves meals to about 100 guests and provides food to 75+ households in the Woodstock area through an onsite food pantry. The time commitment is from 10:00am to 2:30pm including the travel to Woodstock. We meet at the Woodstock Bible Church, 770 E. Kimball Ave, Woodstock between 10:45am and 11:00am. We serve guests from 11:15am to 1:15pm and then help clean up. This is a great opportunity to serve others and enjoy fellowship together. Woof, Woof -- that's hot dog talk thanking the congregation for its generous donations for the Chili & Hot Dog lunch served by those snappy Men's Fellowship waiters supporting the HOPE Fund. We raised $1,080 which is a lot of "beans!" Also, thanks to all the guys who cooked chili using their own secret recipes and baked corn bread. THANKS FOR SUPPORTING THE BARRINGTON AREA CROP HUNGER WALK! Over 177 people enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon by walking for hungry people here in Barrington and around the world, on October 21 for the 36 th Annual Barrington Area CROP Hunger Walk. Nine people walked from the Presbyterian Church of Barrington. Thanks to them, their sponsors, and donators of snacks it was a success. There is still time to make a contribution. Please bring it to the CROP mailbox at the entrance to the church office any time. All transactions should be completed by October 29! Another option: Simply visit http://www.crophungerwalk.org/barringtonil at any time to make a donation or sponsor a walker. Serving Opportunities Sunny Hill School - A great many of the students cannot afford to bring snacks for snack time or for after school programs. Won't you please bring healthy snacks for the students and put them in the snack bin near the office? Thank you for helping these young students get the most from their education. PAGE 9

Long-time church member Steve Alton likes to walk and likes companionship. His blindness limits his activities when he is alone. Jeff Anderson has agreed to coordinate volunteers who would like to take Steve for walks or other activities. Please contact Jeff at jca1017@att.net if you have some time to spend with Steve. For Those in Need: Winter is coming! Please donate warm coats, jackets, sweaters, hats, scarves and gloves for adults and children for the cold winter ahead.
