We are grateful to Nick Koslin and Pani Betty Jean Baranik for preparing the church for the Paschal Holydays. We are thankful to Romayne and Henry Laichak, and Joseph and Christine Koval for preparing special decorations. Easter flowers were provided by our florist, Jeff Eicher, of Floral Expressions. We are grateful to the willow workers who prepared the willows and palms for Palm Sunday; also everyone who brought candy forthe children s Egg Hunt; and the Cathedral Seniors who provided gifts for Father to take to the shut-ins. We are grateful to everyone who boughtchances for the Easter Dinner Basket that was chanced-off on April 10. Winner was Joye Matolyak. Profit for the Cathedral was $366. We will have an individual Family Flea market on Saturday, May 21. This is not to be confused with the parish flea market in August. The Family Flea Market on May 21 works like this: a participating family gives $10 as an entry fee for a table. You set up your space, and the profit from that table is yours. Each family will also be asked to share in the cost of the Tribune Democrat ad which is about $30 total. The entrance fees and profit from any food concessions are for the benefit of the church. FAMILY DAY RAFFLE TICKETS for the benefit of Camp Nazareth continue to be sold in the Cathedral Office. They are only $20 each. THANK YOU! Our Parish is grateful to the Educational Center for providing a luncheon at the time of +Metropolitan Nicholas funeral. The luncheon was at no charge to the Cathedral or the Diocese. Likewise, we are most grateful to the George Family and the Pyramids Lounge for their donation of the fish and for preparing it for the funeral luncheon. ALSO ALL OUR GOOD PARISHIONERS WHO PROVIDED REFRESHMENTS TO OUR VISITORS IN THE AUDITORIUM, AND ALL OTHER WORKERS WHO HAPPILY GAVE THEIR TIME..God bless them all! Anyone planning to attend the Tournament, please contact Beverly Tinkle by May 1 st. SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen! With these meaningful words, the teachers and staff of the Sunday School greet our students and all of our parishioners on the glorious occasion of Easter, the Feast of Feasts. We wish all a happy and joyous Paschal Season. The children received a card and a chocolate cross as an Easter gift. Profit from the sale of Easter candy was $600. Again, thanks to all who helped with this project. The young people who participated in serving food on Saturday, April 16 th included Jonah Strenski, Luke Tvarozna, and Halee Karashin. Helen Koval, Louise Brudnak and Seminarian Will Bennett also helped. Thanks to parents for encouraging children to participate in Saturday s Kitchen for this Lenten project. Thanks also to parents who brought children to participate in the Good Friday procession and to guard the Grave on Holy Saturday. Your efforts will not go unnoticed by God. The stamp collection helped veterans in many ways. Thanks to all who supported this Lenten project. The Sunday School contributed $10 to Pennies for the Mission fund. $10 was received in memory of + Edward Margetta. There will be no Sunday School on Mother s Day.

EDUCATIONAL CENTER NEWS The pork chop fund-raiser dinner has been re-scheduled for Sunday, May 22 nd. Donations of cakes will be appreciated from our parishioners! Spread the word to your neighbors and friends. Tickets will be sold at the door. Price is $10 for adults, and $5 for children under 10. A new two-tiered oven will be installed in May. Sale of a convection oven will help defray the cost. A generous gift of $1,000 was given by Bill Ryan, Erin Ryan, and Kelly and Rusty Weingard to help with fund-raising efforts to fix the roof at the Center. May God bless their generosity. Also, monthly Ed Center offerings have been increasing each month. Support to keep the Ed Center open is of vital importance. In these economic times we are grateful for the support of our Parish! GOLDEN LIVING CENTER NEEDS OUR HELP! Golden Living Center in Richland is asking for churches to help in providing prizes for their bingo for residents. Currently we have 4 parishioners who are residents there. There is a box for this purpose downstairs on the stage. The Living Center will accept stuffed animals all sizes new and previously used that are in good condition. They will also accept tissues, snacks and jewelry those are the most popular bingo prizes. If you have other small gift items, they will be refused. Please bring them in. There is no time limit until the project ends. Gifts are accepted at all times. The Parish Ladies Auxiliary of Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish will sponsor a Basket Party on Sunday, May 22 at St. Francis of Assisi Activity Center on Barron Avenue. Doors open at 12:30 PM. Donation is $10 and includes lunch, 25 chance tickets, and eligibility for door prizes. For tickets, please contact the Resurrection Parish Office at 539-5788. THE SHARON, PA JR.
