So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone. Ephesians 2:18-20 We are citizens of the household of God by grace through faith! And, we share this citizenship with all of the saints, who have come before us. Along with these saints, we have built upon the same foundation with Jesus Christ serving as the cornerstone, which hold the whole structure together! Sunday is All Saint s Day. This special Sunday in the Christian year provides each of us with the opportunity to remember or loved ones, who have departed from this life, and entered into eternal life with God in Jesus Christ by grace through faith. A banner will be placed at the back of the sanctuary on Sunday. You are invited to add a bell to the banner in remembrance of a loved one. The banner will then be presented at the beginning of the service - both as a sign of our remembrance, but also as acknowledging our unity with the saints through faith in our worship of the one, true God. All Saint s day is not only a day of remembering those who have preceded us in death. This special Sunday provides us with the opportunity to give thanks for those who have gone before us and for their good work of faith! All Saint s day is an opportunity for us to celebrate the labor of the saints and their endeavor to advance the kingdom of God through the enrichment of Christ s Holy Church of which we are the beneficiaries! Sunday we remember and we will celebrate! And, also, the staff and I have one last surprise for you this Sunday, but that is a secret!!! You will have to come to find out!!! And, I do hope you will come because it is really special. (What could it be???) Until Sunday, Pastor Ross
