All may make the sign of the cross, the sign that is marked at baptism, as the presiding minister begins. L: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen. L: Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. Silence is kept for reflection. Most merciful God, C: we confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen. The presiding minister announces God s forgiveness. L: In the mercy of almighty God, C: Amen. The service continues with gathering song.
Gathering Song As Saints of Old..(vs. 1-3)..ELW #695 As saints of old their firstfruits brought of orchard, flock, and field to God, the giver of all good, the source of bounteous yield; so we today firstfruits would bring, the wealth of this good land, of farm and market, shop and home, of mind and heart and hand. A world in need now summons us to labor, love, and give; to make our life an offering to God, that all may live. The church of Christ is calling us to make the dream come true: a world redeemed by Christ-like love; all life in Christ made new. In gratitude and humble trust we bring our best today to serve your cause and share your love with all along life's way. O God, who gave yourself to us in Jesus Christ your Son, teach us to give ourselves each day until life's work is done. L: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. C: And also with you. Kyrie Page 147-48
L: In peace, let us pray to the Lord. C: Lord, have mercy. L: For the peace from above, and for our salvation, let us pray to the Lord. C: Lord, have mercy. L: For the peace of the whole world, for the well-being of the church of God, and for the unity of all, let us pray to the Lord. C: Lord, have mercy. L: Happy are they who have the God of Jacob for their help, whose hope is in the Lord their God; C: who made heaven and earth, the seas, and all that is in them; who keeps promises forever;

Take My Life, That I May Be..(vs. 1-6).ELW #685 Take my life, that I may be consecrated, Lord, to thee; take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of thy love; take my feet and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee. Take my voice and let me sing always, only, for my King; take my lips and let them be filled with messages from thee. Take my silver and my gold, not a mite would I withhold; take my intellect and use ev'ry pow'r as thou shall choose. Take my will and make it thine, it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart, it is thine own, it shall be thy royal throne. Take my love; my Lord, I pour at thy feet its treasure store; take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for thee. The Apostles Creed ELW Page 105 I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long: this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long. Perfect submission, all is at rest; I in my Savior am happy and blest, watching and waiting, looking above,
