The Spencer Christian Page 1 THE SPENCER CHRISTIAN D AN S WONDERFULNESS 2012 Did you know that October 22 will mark 40 years of service to this congregation for Sherry Groenewold? It s kind of amazing, isn t it? It s not every day that you see commitment and dedication like that. It s the kind of commitment and dedication that deserves to be celebrated. That s why I d like to invite you to join us for an extra special celebration in Sherry s honor on Sunday, 30. There will be a special presentation during the worship service that day and a reception following the service. Please join us and help us mark 40 years of music and ministry! Additionally, I d like to remind you all that while I am on vacation, we will have a special guest speaker on Sunday, 2. Rev. Stephen Haney will be preaching and will share with us a bit about the progress being made at Open Source, the new church start in Rochester he is spearheading along with his wife, Rebecca. Stephen and Rebecca have already made a significant impact in Rochester and have even been a blessing to our congregation by visiting some of our own parishioners during their times at Mayo. There will be a special offering that day to for the new church start. Please prayerfully consider giving to this special offering by marking your check or envelope to read Open Source, New Church, or Rochester. Blessings in Jesus, Dan Mayes P.S.
